"Alright, guys," Gladio said with a grin, as he lead them into the danger shop, which was set up as a nice sunny tropical beach with possibly the nicest soft sand you ever did feel between your toes, "I don't know about you all, but I think we've had enough winter time sports for a while, don't you? I think it's time for...." He strode over to where a net was set up and bent over to pick up the ball that was waiting there as well, "...a little volleyball."

He gave the ball a little toss into the air, sending it toward the ~~most moddable~~ closest student, who just happened to be Eleanor, who thankfully had good enough reflexes to avoid getting hit, even if her catching of it was somewhat clumsy. Gladio grinned with an approving nod, and continued.

"And we've got the perfect amount of people for doubles teams, so we'll take a few moments to go over the rules. There's a cabana over there," he hitched his head to the side with a snort, "if you want to change into something more suited for beach volleyball, and then we'll get into a little bit of a mini-tournament."

Learn how to play volleyball, decide if you want to get yourself some more beach-appropriate, danger-shop provided clothes, and make sure to stretch out before hitting the sand!

Surely, all those distracted, longing looks Eleanor was giving the ocean (despite knowing it wasn't even real) while Mr. Amicitia was explaining volleyball would have no bearing or negative effect on her performance in the mini-tournament at all!

Um. No. There would be no 'more beach-appropriate' clothes for Nell, thank you very much. Not with all these other people around.

For doing whatever you want once the main tournament is over. Practice your skills! Just sit in the sand. Build sandcastles! Do a beach run! Those are Gladio's favorite!

"Two wins out of three isn't bad," Nell said, a little breathlessly.

"Two out of three," Gladio agreed with a proud sort of grin back at Nell, "ain't bad at all!"

But then he leaned in with his voice lowered a little.

"You don't think someone might've gone and rigged the system in your favor," his brow lifted speculative, "do you?"

He would never,of course. But he did imagine he'd get at least an adorable little huff of indignation from her for even suggesting it.

Nell made a face at him. "Like I wouldn't have noticed that," she said. "Besides, you'd never stoop so low."

That face worked, too! Gladio snorted. "I can get pretty low for such a tall guy," he pointed out, "but you're right. And you'd've probably killed me if you found out, anyway. All your own merit, so credit where credit's due. Good work out there."

"Not sure it's my favorite of the games we've played." Especially not in her skirts in the sand. "But it was fun."
