Let's Play Some Sports!; Thursday, First Period [01/09].
"Hey, everyone," said Gladio, giving the class a nod once they gathered in the danger shop, which was set up like an outdoor sort of stadium, and taking a moment to roll his shoulders, stretch his arms, as if preparing for a long session of physical activity, even if he'd mostly just be there in the coaching position, "and welcome to Let's Play Some Sports. Where we're going to be...you guessed it...play some sports."
He grinned, because that sort of subtle comedy was the humor he really strived for.
"So today's class is going to focus on a sport that has a lot of little sports in it to give me an idea of your strengths and weakness and what you seem to enjoy or really not enjoy at all, and that's Track and Field. But before we get into that, let's get those introductions out of the way. Go ahead and tell me who you are, whether you wanted to be in this class or not," that, he said with a faint wry snort and a grin, "and what your favorite sport is, if you have one, and why. And if you don't have one, tell me why not, too. That'll help me decide what else we're going to explore in this class further down the line.
"So let's get warmed up and stretching while we do that," he said, now crossing one arm over his chest and pulling it close with the other, then switching arms, "so when we're finished, we can mostly get right into it."

Maybe you're more into the jumping events? Like seeing how far you can jump with the longjump, or how high with the high jump. There's also the pole vault, although if anyone takes any particular interest in that, he might need to call up Iggy to really come and help on that one.
Or there are the throwing events, too! Discus, shotput, javelin and hammer are all available to work with. Gladio would actually be really impressed if anyone could beat him on any of those!
And, with only four of you, too, he's pretty confident he can manage to offer advice, correction, or challenges if needed!

Which still had enough of that original, initial thought in it to leave a faintly crooked grin on his face.
"But I know for me," he added, and looking at Nell seemed to change that smile a little, soften some of it around those cocky edges, "it's because you know what they say. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, right? You could probably get up there pretty easily, I'd think."
And there was that first thought coming right back around to his thoughts, which he shoo'd away, because he was a gentleman.
...sometimes.

No, it didn't make sense to her, either, but just look at her schedule and tell her that it wasn't possible. Especially since it sounds like the moose had definitely done weirder and more targeted things like that to other before, too.
"Anyway, I'm not really that into sports, although I did a lot of running around the woods with my sister and cousin when I was little, if that counted. But sports weren't considered something girls did if they could help it at my last school. I really like swimming, though, and I'm pretty good at it. So I guess...yeah, anything that gets us in the water is something I'm going to enjoy most."

Did that answer what his favorite sport was?
Re: Class Activity: Track and Field - LPSS!, 01/09.
Depending on his age, either after a pretty bug, to get to classes on time, or for his life.
He'd stick to that. He actually...wasn't bad? He wouldn't be winning races any time soon, probably, but if he could stay out of the way of deadly things, he'd count it a win.

"Well," he offered, "on the bright side, at least with only four people in class, that does limit it a little on the team sports. So there is that. But...well," he huffed a faint laugh and smirked a little, "guess we'll find out."

"Better for a private lesson, huh?"
Re: Class Activity: Introductions! - LPSS!, 01/09.
But of course he also had to add: "If that counts as a sword."
