Was Raiden disappointed to be leaving Fandom's magical taps, however temporarily? Yes, but he was more relieved to not be a golden retriever the Pizza Planet staff wouldn't let drink from said taps any more. Apparently wine and chocolate were bad for dogs. Rude.

"Is everyone ready to visit Hanoi, Vietnam?" Raiden asked his students, doing a quick visual scan to make sure everyone had gotten his message about how to dress for the weather at their destination. It was entirely possible someone hadn't, since he hadn't had thumbs for very long, but he reminded them, "Vietnam is a country in southeast Asia, so it'll be warm there," before launching into explaining, "The food is based on a combination of five fundamental flavors, or ngũ vị: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and spicy, in keeping with an overall Vietnamese philosophy of five elements It's a very fresh cuisine, using a lot of vegetables and not a lot of dairy or fat, and like many Asian cuisines, rice is a staple, although the period of French colonialism gave birth to the banh mi, or more properly the bánh mì thịt, since in Vietnamese 'bánh mì' is just the bread. You may also be familiar with pho, which is a noodle soup--our tour includes phở gà, or chicken pho, but I've checked with our guide and phở bò, which uses beef, will be available as well. Plus there are lots of other yummy things waiting for us, so let's head through the portal and get started on our food tour!

Arden was prepared to inform anybody that asked that this was her emotional support sloth. She also had a bag that she could tuck him into ~~when~~ if he fell asleep on their trip. Said bag also had the clothing Graham had brought for him in it, as well as some fresh fruits and veggies, just in case he got hungry. For now though, he was just chilling on her back, one arm draped around her for balance.

"Aw, you, too?" Raiden asked Gray, then explained to Arden, "I guess I was a dog all weekend?" For some mysterious reason!

It was a mystery!

"According to a radio, it seems like a lot of people got hit with it," Arden said, shaking her head a bit. "Weird how the island just picks people to do that to."

People with otherwise nothing in common, even!

"Must be going around or something," Raiden said. It was so weird how that happened in waves! "Do you want me to take him?" he offered. "Now that I have, y'know, thumbs again."

Arden hesitated a moment, then called herself an idiot and slowly began to unwind Gray from around her. "I've got a backpack with his clothes and some food and stuff, though I'll have to give his Squishmallow back later."

"He has so many of 'em I doubt he'll miss it," Raiden reassured her as he held out his arms to accept his sloth-shaped brother. "My spare room has been turned into extra Squishmallow and shoe storage, so he'll have some anyway. This is gonna be a little different from how I usually carry you around, huh?" he asked Gray, who continued to be a sloth and barely awake...so not that different.

He turned his attention back to Arden to tell her, "Thanks for lookin' after him."

"Of course," Arden said with a soft smile. "That's. Um. What family does. Right?"

Raiden beamed at her. "Exactly!" he exclaimed. "Especially the 'carrying a sleeping Gray around' part, in this family." He glanced down at Gray. "Good thing you got more portable, Smalls."
