Mindful that not everyone might have received her email, Veronica had hung some *handwavy* signs around the camp area directing photography students to the lecture hall where they were holding their first workshop.

As students entered, she handed out them a syllabus and a handout titled "Photography Basics" and directed them to the coffee and pastries courtesy of J,GOB.

Once everyone had arrived and was seated, she introduced herself.

"Good morning. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Veronica Mars. Please call me Veronica." There may have been a slight glare in Cam's direction at those words. "I just graduated from Fandom High and I've been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. Today is going to be an easy day. I want you to introduce yourselves to me and each other and I want you all to tell me why you signed up for this workshop." Another glare in Cam's direction and also one for Bel.

"If you brought a camera, I'd like to see it and approve it. If you need a camera, we'll get you set up with one. If you didn't get my email, I'd like to re-iterate that after this week, we will be developing photos in each workshop session, so please wear clothes that you don't mind having splashed with chemicals. After this week, we'll be meeting in the Journalism classroom so we can use the dark room. Last class will be back here and you're welcome to invite friends to that one."

She smiled at the group. "Let's start the introductions."

Brainstorm what you can photograph to represent Blue, Earth, and Leaves. Again, feel free to chat amongst yourselves. And don't be afraid to think outside the box.

"You can drop a leave out of the window of an airplane and makes a picture of it falling down towards the ground." Because that was really practical an realistic.

"Well, that would cover all your prompts in one photo," Veronica said. "But I may not have been clear. You're supposed to take separate photographs for each prompt."

"Don't we get a golden star if we're clever enough to capture it in one go?" Cameron questioned because that just seemed easier.

"I suppose if you're clever enough to tie in all the prompts in one photo, I could give you a gold star," Veronica said. "But the whole point of the exercise is to get creative and think outside the box."

"Managing to combine it is creative," he insisted. "But I'll see what I can do. You know that prompt sounds very new agey, right?"

Veronica shrugged. "I was aiming for broad concepts that can be interpreted in a variety of ways," she explained.

Remembering that he was actually supposed to be nice, Cameron seriously pondered it. "Can we use motion in the pictures or is that bad taste?"

Jaye's thinking going to the lake and getting everything done in one go is too easy. Not that she's against being lazy, but she's thinking about doing the actual work.

Nadia was leaning back in her chair, looking over the list for the scavenger hunt and trying to figure out if she could make it work with the boxer raid plan.

Maybe if one of the guys had blue boxers. . . .

"What about a photo of someone walking away? Leaving. Then it could a present tense verb."

Veronica nodded. "Yes. The words can be interpreted any way you see fit."

Score. Nadia smiled, and started trying to work out new interpretations for the other words, too.

"Blue can be an emotion as well as a color," Elizabeth suggested.

Bel stayed firmly within the box. "The sky, the ground, a tree," he said, half to himself.

Those plans for revenge Zack hadn't been formulating before? Totally weren't taking on a more definite shape now.

Buffy gave the Meerkat boy a suspicious look. As she had left the common room before there were doughnuts, she was possibly suspecting him to have something to do with the Stickbugs evil plot.
