"There are a lot of ethical minefields to work around when it comes to holiday celebrations," Anakin began. "Familial obligations to see people you might not want to spend time with normally, traditional foods that everyone doesn't love, finding gifts for someone who hates everything--it can be exhausting."

"And that's the best case scenario," Ahsoka added. "It's rarely the best case scenario."

Anakin snickered. "So today we will practice the art of not rising to the bait." Anakin was especially terrible at this.

Case in point. "Like not discussing why some humans seem to be unable to manage their pelts."

"Do you mean Obi-Wan's beard?" Anakin asked.

"I mean some people's beards." Skywalkers as a class did not do facial hair well.

"Because his beard was good," Anakin said, already missing the point of this discussion.

"I never said his beard wasn't." In case anyone had any doubts.

"We'll give you some scenarios--" one would definitely be about commenting on a relative's terrible goatee, "--and see how you do."

3) A framed photo of you and your partner. Sentimental, thoughtful...but you're in it.

He's also 18, his first semester into his philosophy major, and is judging all of the food out loud about how much dairy, gluten, and meat is displayed. He's gonna make Grandma cry. (Grandma has weaponized her tearducts.)

"Oh, yes," Lydia told him. "I've done it before." And Mr. Collins was far more annoying. "All you need is vervain, willow, a rook's feather, and some old piano wire." And the spell-tithe, of course, but she was supposing she'd come up with something other than not curling her hair.

"I did not know that," Anakin said. "That would've made Jedi Council meetings much more entertaining."

"You also have to be a witch," Lydia said apologetically.

A Jedi was a kind of space witch, right? Wait. No. Those were on Dathomir.

"Well, that will be a problem for me," Anakin said.

Stark's girlfriend was Summer. Stark could eat weird food without flinching! So there, Anakin.
