As per usual, Stark was waiting outside the Portalocity office for his class to arrive.

“We’ll be going a bit farther away today,” Stark said once everyone had arrived. “To Switzerland to visit the Lindt Chocolate headquarters. There’s a museum there, and something called a Pilot Plant that’s something like a factory, and we’ll be taking a tour. I don’t think I’ve been to Switzerland before, so this is all new for me as well. A lot of these excursions have been all new.”

“I’ve had these chocolates before, at least. They’re good. Chocolate from Switzerland is meant to be very good from what I know.”

Admire the giant chocolate fountain!

Then it’s time for the chocolate museum to learn all sorts of things about chocolate. Things like cocoa cultivation, chocolate history, Swiss chocolate history, chocolate tastings, and chocolate production.

Then move on to the Pilot Plant where new recipes are tested and techniques refined. Try not to laugh at the fact that two of the stations in this plant are called the Filling Station and the Bottoming Station.

If you like you can make your own chocolate.

And of course there’s a gift shop. There is always a gift shop.

Charlie was absolutely trying all the chocolate she could and purchasing more to bring back with her. And making her own chocolate. That was going to be one decadent chocolate bar!
