Beka warms up the engines, smiling to herself and waiting for Cam. She checks to be sure she's got her homework for Archaeology, Journalism, and Diplomacy, but hopes she really won't need it.

Her heart flips over and over and she's not sure she heard him right, but gods and goddesses if she did...she makes her voice soft, not threatening--it'd be hard for it to be threatening with her heart pounding like this. She's kissed and been kissed more times than she wants to think about but it's never affected her like this. Still she manages to squeeze out: Yes.

He swallows and for a moment is frozen, his brain trying to figure out if he heard it right. When it finally does all connect together, he leans down and softly kisses Beka on the lips, lingering and allowing her to make the next move.

Beka stills, and just feels. It's Cam kissing her and hello this is new, but it's also familiar and right and so so easy. Then she sighs against his mouth, and awkwardly reaches up to put one hand behind his head to pull him just a little closer.

He grins against her lips, happy that apparently he is doing something right. The angle they're in is a bit awkward, but he doesn't want to think about pulling away as he has no clue what to say or do when he does. So instead, he kissed her again, a bit more sure of himself.

For once in her life, Beka just lets herself be kissed. Not needing to take command, just needing to be here in this moment with her flyboy.

After a few wonderful minutes of Cam's mouth on hers, she slides her hand down his neck onto his shoulder. Then she sits up, slowly, holding onto him for support. She'd have rathered bring him down to the bed with her, but that's got to be his move.

Cam slips his arms around her, his hand slowly stroking her back. He pulls back just a little to study her face and smiles. "Hey," he really needs to stop saying that.

She exhales slowly on a happy sort of sigh, leans in and kisses him softly. Then says, "Hey, you." And realizes they say this a lot. Decides it's adorable, and wonders if she should tell him that was the nicest kiss ever.

He chuckles and pulls her closer. "According to Vala we need to talk."

Pushes down the urge to go kill Vala for talking with Cam, because obviously whatever they were talking about, it's been a good thing for her. She rests her head on his shoulder instead. "Did Vala say what we needed to talk about?"

He takes a slow, deep breath and tries to stall his reply. "Why I'm being so evasive?"

Ah. This. She can't believe he thinks she doesn't know. She smiles and decides to be as sweet to him as he is to her. "I hadn't really thought of it that way," she smiles. "I thought you just wanted to be sure."

"I do," he sighs and tightens his arms around her, only now realising that he's actually not that nervous. "I don't want to stuff this up."

She sighs and pushes away just enough to look into his eyes. "That'd be hard to do. At least...for you." She's pretty sure she could do about a million things without even thinking about it that would either send him flying or make him hate her forever. And it makes her sick just thinking about it.

He tilts his head and grins slightly. "Oh, I don't know; I'm pretty good at making a mess of things." He reaches out and gently touches her cheek.

"Not that I've seen. Pretty much, Cameron Mitchell, I think you're perfect." She blushes, furiously, shaking her head and then mock-banging it against his chest. "Beka Valentine. Formerly spacetart. Now blushing teenager. I could hate you for this."

He grins and pats her head. "I don't know, I think it's kinda cute."

She bares her teeth, growls. "You would." Then sticks her tongue out at him. "Mean."

"If that's supposed to convince me that you're not cute, you're failing miserable." *smirks*

*thinks of a few things she'd like to do with her tongue that wouldn't be cute*

*instead, looks at him very intently through bedroomish eyes and smiles wickedly* "You had something to tell me?"

*puts her mouth very close to his ear and whispers* "Vala said we should talk, remember." *while trailing her fingers down his chest*

*grins* Yeah. Me too. *then looks at him and says softly* I like kissing you. And I like when you touch me.

*bites her lip then blurts out* I've done a lot of things, Cam. But I've never *liked* them before.
