Summer Shenanigans, Wednesday, July 17

Well, this week the people tasked with leading shenanigans couldn't even blame Anakin for the fresh insanity that awaited the island. Because this week was all Thor's fault.

No, not that Thor. The other one.

Even Don didn’t know where he’d gotten the boats. Sometimes you had to just shrug and hope it was magic. Or maybe just the magic of Tony Stark's petty cash account for the Avengers.

“Today you’ll be competing in a relay,” Don told the assembled ‘volunteers.’ “A…Norse-themed relay.”

Jane shook her head from behind Don. Maybe out of sympathy for the class, maybe because she too couldn't believe they were doing this. "We'll split you into teams of three to complete legs of the 'race' that are… unique to say the least."

What was that ammonia smell?

“This is not our fault,” Don told everyone, even though they were the people standing here and at least one of them was a Norse god. “Uh, have fun?”

Arden's alot was big and strong and mostly just happy to amble on in any direction. The difficulty was getting it to move at something faster than an amble. She certainly wasn't about to hit the poor thing or scare it at all.

But maybe she could cool it down? Little by little, she plucked tiny silent chords of air, cooling it down and then wrapping it around the alot like a thin shawl of coolness around its head and neck. She kept her eyes downcast, knowing they would be glowing gold as she worked, peeking out with her peripheral vision to keep them going in the right direction.

But once she was done, her alot seemed to perk up and was willing to be goaded into a decent pace to finish up the course!
