Food Network Appreciation, Friday 6/14 2nd Period

"Good morning, everyone,” Stark said. “Welcome back. I saw, well i read from the squirrels, that the Earth Tourism class went to Italy this week so I thought we could have Italian food as well. And watch a show about Italy and the food there. It's a bit early for most things I think of when I think of Italian food but why would that stop us? But no pizza today. There's a whole class just for that on Tuesdays and Raiden makes very good pizza.”

Was Stark babbling a little today? Yes. Was that normal? Also yes.

“There's a show called Everyday Italian and the host has done other shows as well if you enjoy watching her. We'll watch a bit of this, focusing on dessert recipes, and have some food while we do. I know it's really still breakfast time but I have Gelato anyway. And sorbetto. And some other Italian desserts. I like the cannoli. Enjoy!”

Summer beamed with pride, as if she's actually done anything remotely clever or difficult or trying.

"Love you, too."

As clearly evidenced by recent sacrifices and cupcakes!

"And sure. Why not?" She set the box down on one desk while hopping up to sit on another and glanced around the classroom a little.

"So what's you guys do today?"

She'd thought of him. That was enough.

"Watched Giada make Italian desserts," Stark told her, smiling softly now as he watched her. "None so cute as these. And ate gelato. I have some in the freezer, if you want fancy ice cream with your tiny pie cake? Or I can bring it home for later. You baked, clearly. Anything else interesting?"

"I think I could go for some gelato now with the cupcakes," Summer decided eagerly. "Assuming no one needs this room right after your class. What class is after this one, anyway? And, no, not really anything too interesting, unless you count Pancakes being a butt about her food."

But Pancakes was always a butt about her food, so...

"I don't think anyone is in here after? I think camping is next and they wouldn't be in here."

Gladio was probably not going to camp in a classroom. That would be weird.

"There's a few flavors. I liked the chocolate and hazelnut."

He was already moving towards the freezer.

"Any strawberry?" Summer asked, sweetly and surprising no one, let's be real.

It would be funny. That is very true.

"Of course there's strawberry," Stark said, holding out an unopened container a moment later. He'd bought it with her in mind even! "I wouldn't want to disappoint you."

"No," Summer agreed, with a slightly inscrutable twinkle in her eyes as she took the container, "you wouldn't. Thank you, Stark."

Just in case there had been any doubt.

"Here." He produced a spoon and held it out with a grin. "Enjoy. But you should try this chocolate hazelnut too."
