"If you're not into...octopus...man...dragon things, then you can do a cat instead, since they can also have tentacles," Cara added, then glanced at Jane. "How is Val, anyway?"

"Hasn't asked me to cat-sit again!" Thankfully. Goose was lovely and all, but...

She made for a very exciting class. "Well, get to it."

So that Carol and Val could have a nice, romantic time together. Without a cat around.
