Video Games are Great!; Monday, Third Period [06/03].
Yukari might have gone with something a little different or even more elaborate for today's class, but when she saw there was already some setting for a medieval style battlefield with a castle looming in the background (it was only a model, though!), and a lot of weapons already crammed in there? Of course she was going to go the lazy resourceful route and use that for today's lesson! So....welcome to Generic Medieval Fantasy Game, everyone!
"Today," said Yukari, as she gestured toward the sweeping wooded field, "we're going to focus a little bit on RPG games....that means Role-Playing Ga...aame games," yes, she realized that one a bit too late, hold on a second, let her get her PIN number, too, while she was at it. "Mostly with a focus on the Japanese style of RPGs, although there are some really great Western ones out there, too! Now, if you're really looking for a chance to escape into a video game world, these are the games where you play a character in a full-fledged story, so they're great for that, especially the ones that let you customize your characters! Don't worry, I know we already did the Create Your Character class, so we won't spend a lot of time on that today, but we will be focusing on character archetypes: by tapping into the JRPG trope of using job classes to determine what your character can do, and then trying our hand at some classic JRPG turned-based combat, which means actions are done by taking turns!
"So take a few moments to decide on what job class you want to be, get your costumes and your weapons, and then it'll be time to take on some big bad monsters!"

Class Activity: Turn-Based Combat! - Video Games, 06/03.
But the giant purple tentacled squid octopus monster guy is definitely the best baddie in the entire series, and he's here to taunt you and fight you all the same! And, according to the RNG, our turn-based combat order is as follows:
Ultros
Stewart
Steph
Navaan
Yukari
Gray
Kurt
But since the world is not perfect and we all have different time schedules, feel free to just make new threads with what your character is doing in their turn, and have other characters respond/react as everyone sees fit, messy threads are beautiful threads.
Re: Class Activity: Turn-Based Combat! - Video Games, 06/03.
Since levels are a little more complicated that what Yukari wanted to do for this class, anyone whose age is a multiple of 3 gets affected by confusion! If you don't have a specific age, it's up to you to determine if you want to be affected by it or not!
