Yoga; Friday, Fourth Period [05/17].
Summer yoga meant yoga on the beach, weather permitting, and so since it looked like it was going to be an alright day for that, everyone should hopefully have found their way to the beach for class that afternoon, and if not, then oh well.
"So," Rosa started, without much preamble because talking wasn't exactly high on her list of priorities, "welcome to Yoga, blah blah blah. I was thinking of doing something different with it this semester, and then realized I don't care enough and that the whole 'explore a different chakra each week' thing is perfect for a summer session, so we're sticking with it. Also, having had other Yoga before is not a prerequisite, but it'll sure help, and keep in mind that I don't really believe in any of this crap, but it's a good fit and it makes you feel good doing it, so let's do it.
"Basically," she sighed a little, like the whole actual teaching aspect of it was a particular burden she wanted to get out of the way as quickly as possible, "chakras refer to various spots in your body where energy is said to radiate from, and yoga's supposed to help focus these chakras and keep them balanced, so that you're balances, and it's all just sort of spiritual mindfulness crap. We're going to start with the Muladhara chakra, or root chakra today, the first of the seven, which is said to be located around your coccyx or tailbone, associated with the color red, and it's supposed to support good health for your body, your connection to the Earth, and overall stability in the physical world."
And if it sounded like Rosa was a little bored and disbelieving of these sorts of things, well...she pretty much said her piece on that.
"So we'll learn a few poses good for the root chakra, and one of the things good for the root chakra is also the sun salutation, which is also good, because that's how we'll be starting and finishing most classes. Those of you who already know it, you know what to do, but if you don't, just follow along with me on the warm up, and you can work on improving it as we go on."

He would do his best not to fall over and knock over the whole class like dominoes, but he was a Muppet. So no guarantees.

More or less. His eyes were barely open and his head was pounding from last night.

OOC - Yoga, 05/17.
Also, just a heads up, I'm running around a convention center for the better part of the day, so I'll be pretty sparse!
WHAT ELSE IS NEW. SIGH.
