Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day
Whoever worked the weather magic around here had done an excellent job to make sure things were nice outside for all the new (and old) residents of Fandom. It was warm and sunny, but not so humid that people would melt. There was plenty of moddable food and drinks, places to sit in the shade, and more than enough nametags to go around. It was time to celebrate the start of the summer!

Re: General Mingling
"Good!" she told Prompto with a smile, turning an even bigger smile on Noctra -- and she wasn't even faking for baby benefit, because look at her go! "Lots of new people this time around, it looks like?"
Which meant people-watching amidst all this babee-playing, but she was also already snagging a blanket out of the bottom of the stroller to lay on the grass, and carefully reached in to put first Ben, and then Maggie on the blanket. (And Maggie, for her part, offered up a little, concerned, fussy whine initially -- grass was pokey -- though that seemed to soothe when Annie took up a criss-cross applesauce position of her own on the grass beside them.)
"I like your camera, Noctra. That's really cool."
Re: General Mingling
But as soon as Annie mentioned Noctra's camera, the babees were momentary forgotten so that she could hold it up and show it off to her. "Ank yew!" she pronounced happily before adding, "Say Woooookieeee!" And holding it up just like her mommy and daddy did and went "Click click click click!" as her finger pressed down on the 'button' to take Annie's 'picture.'
This possess was then repeated with Ben and Maggie ans Prompto and a bug she saw on a blade of grass respectively.
"I don't know where she gets that from," Prompto observed, lifting up his own camera for a shot of Noctra bending over the grass and taking pictures of it.
Re: General Mingling
"That is so precious," she murmured to Prompto once Noctra had moved on. The twins, babees that they were, seemed fairly occupied with studying a few blades of grass that Ben had pulled, and seemed to be telling Maggie about. Twin language, even at six months old, seemed to be a real thing.
Re: General Mingling
"She definitely is something," Prompto agreed, shaking his head, but watching the little tykes with a soft smile of fondness and a sort of marveling, disbelieving gratitude that things that fell under the category of their kids could even exist. "We lucked out, she got all her aggression out yesterday while watching cartoons, so that means she's going to be a sweetheart today, run around, wear herself out, and then gloriously pass out. How're those two treating you? If Noctra's any glimpse into your future, these are going to be the golden months, enjoy it."
