Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day
Whoever worked the weather magic around here had done an excellent job to make sure things were nice outside for all the new (and old) residents of Fandom. It was warm and sunny, but not so humid that people would melt. There was plenty of moddable food and drinks, places to sit in the shade, and more than enough nametags to go around. It was time to celebrate the start of the summer!

She looked around a bit. “And everyone looks like a model. Have you been here long?”
Re: Meet Your Buddies!
Lydia was certainly dressed like she'd stepped right out of a Regency film, although if Kamala had any doubts she could be forgiven for thinking she was really committed to a bit.
Re: Meet Your Buddies!
“Oh! I think my warning was specific to people who might have a slightly common universe?” Kamala explained. “So we might be fine with over 200 years between us. So is there more to this place than magic and different realities?”
Re: Meet Your Buddies!
"I should have asked to start: what year is it where you are from? And where are you from?"
Re: Meet Your Buddies!
Okay, Kamala had been to other planets but still...
"Oh. I'm from 2028. Earth. Jersey City," she said stammering a bit.
Children? Animals? Artwork?
She'd stop blue screening in a second Lydia.
Re: Meet Your Buddies!
"Now, where is Jersey City? I've never been to Jersey, I must confess." You know, the original one. In England, like her accent.

Really, Kamala, she had taken the time to make her handwriting legible and everything, and now you weren't even going to need it. Rather inconsiderate of you, being from the future and all.
Re: Meet Your Buddies!
And who knows? Future children? Maybe the plumbing was really weird. (Especially when it was rum or egg nog instead of water).
Re: Meet Your Buddies!
Lydia smiled at her. "I must confess I'm not entirely sure what to tell you. All the questions you must have are surely very different than the ones I had. But I do have a 'phone,' the number for which I have written here," she said, pointing to the spot on the papers Kamala had taken, "and I can be found in the school dormitory, in room 303."
Re: Meet Your Buddies!
She scribbled out her number on a scrap piece of paper she had from her sketchbook. "There!"
