Whether it was a break week or not made no difference to Beta provided her player remembered what days of the week were, and she was at the desk, wrapped up in research like she usually was. (When she wasn't wrapped up in marathon binge-watching sessions of some old series or other, anyway. Shh.)
It seemed to be mildly breezy over by the periodicals, as every now and then pages would rustle en masse and an occasional stray bookmark or forgotten receipt might come fluttering out of a shelf, but gentle enough that nothing was getting blown out of place. It was nice, anyway. Kind of refreshing. You always had to appreciate good circulation.
