The desks were gone today, replaced by pairs of chairs facing back to back. Their teachers were sitting in a pair of them looking very uncomfortable, so situation normal for this class.

"Today, we'll be continuing on the idea of meaningful communication, " Ahsoka said. "Because it's an ongoing process."

Subtle like a Skywalker there, Ahsoka. "Today we're playing a game called Blind Drawing," Anakin said, ignoring the clear cue to communicate better. "We will hand half of you an object and the other half get a pencil and a notepad. The person holding the object will describe it to their partner and we'll see how well you communicate. No telepathy, please. Ahsoka and I will demonstrate."

He picked up his pencil and notepad.

Ahsoka waved her hand, using the force to pull a black sheet off a small abstract sculpture. "...it's yellow." And 'amazing' Ahsoka, you forgot amazing.

"Yellow," Anakin repeated dryly. "Okay. I need more than that. Is it a fruit, animal, piece of clothing?"

"None of the above." Ahsoka's voice was equally dry. "It's some kind of art."

"Wonderful," Anakin sighed. "This assignment may take a while."

So. Much. Talking.

Anakin's still trying to draw modern art.

Anakin was sketching a series of question marks that he had helpfully labeled "YELLOW". "How tall is this art?" he asked.

"I don't know," Ahsoka replied. "Wider than it's tall?"

"Squarish or triangular?" Anakin asked. "Does it look like something a Coruscanti oligarch would stick in their entryway?"

"Both," Ahsoka said. "No, it's not ornate enough."

That was actually a helpful note and Anakin started sketching something vagely correct. "How many pieces?"

"Maybe eight? They're all joined together."

"Like a spider droid?" Anakin asked.

"Maybe after it's been on the wrong side of a lightsaber."

Careful, Ahsoka, that was dangerously close to banter.

Anakin snickered. "That's helpful," he said, switching to a new page.

"The parts are flat, but the object itself isn't," Ahsoka told him. "Like folded paper art almost."

"With eight sides," Anakin confirmed, "wider than it is tall."

See, Obi-Wan? He listened! Occassionally!

Very occasionally!

"It looks almost like a cave."

"A yellow cave," Anakin said, adjusting his drawing again, "with spaces between the sections?"

"Yes," Ahsoka said. "But they're all still connected. Just not seamlessly."

"Same difference apart for each panel?" Anakin asked, tweaking the picture again.

That got an actual snort from Ahsoka. "No. It looks like that time you and Master Kenobi couldn't agree on the best way to build a shelter."

"Ohhh," Anakin said, erasing and redoing. "Like this?"

He held out a remarkable likeness. Almost like they were good at being a team when they weren't avoiding a Massive Issue.

Surely that couldn't be right!

Ahsoka looked at Anakin's drawing. "You've got it pretty right."

Anakin smiled proudly. "Thank you."
