Dangershop: Playground

After being almost being ~~handwavy~~ stampeded by a few miniture students, it didn't take long for Mac to figure out what might have happened overnight.

Being the resourceful guy he is? He headed down to the Dangershop where he spent a few minutes programming it for a more suitable environment for the kids.

He also made sure that the safety locks were on and could not be unlocked.

[ooc: OCD Threads ~~coming~~ up! Safety locks will prevent any harm to the students, though skinned knees and boo-boos can happen. Feel free to add your own playground equipment.]

"Can Xander have some candy too?" Bridge asks.

"Candy is only as retribution for children with time out. You can share with him, though."

"But... but... but..." Bridge looks at Tick, wide-eyed.

"I'm sorry, Bridge, but I promise there will be more than enough candy to share."

"But he's gonna sit inna corner with me and everything! He should get candy too."

"Detention rules go against having students without detention sit in during detention. I'm sorry, but that's the rules."

"But is not detention, is time outs. I know those are not the same 'cause detention has more letters!"

"Not fair. Again!"

There is definite lip-wibbling here.

Then there is light bulb!

A metaphorical light-bulb. Not a simile, either. Not that Xander knows the difference.

"Do you want me to do somethin' bad so I gets time out?" Xander asks Bridge with great seriousness.

Bridge looks at Xander wide-eyed.

"You'd do that?" he asks.

Xander shrugs. "Sure. You always share with me."

He looks up -- wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy up -- at Mr. Profefser The Tick and says the meanest thing he can think of.

"Boogerface!"

...yeah, he's not actually a very mean little kid.

"A valiant attempt, Xander, but this is just for Bridge. It's only ten minutes, you'll both survive."

"But... you don't got to give me candy. Bridge gots cupcakes anyway."

Xander's eyes are very, very big.

"Sorry, Xander, but it's the rules," Tick said with a tone of finality.

"It's okay," Bridge tells Xander. "I will have time outs and then it'll be over and we can go play!"

"...Okay." Xander looks uncertain, but carries Jeremiah over to the merry-go-round and sits down.

And watches, omg. Because Bridge is just little and he wants to be sure there's no crying. But he wasn't gonna say that.

Bridge goes to sit in the corner and is very quiet, omg.

"Okay, Bridge, your ten minutes is up! Time to collect your candy!" Tick said. The handful of candy he had may have seemed to be a bit more than a handful due to the way the candy was piled up. If one were watching how much candy he had handed out to each person, they probably would have noticed this increase.

Technically it followed the rules.

"Thank you Mr. The Tick, sir!" Bridge says, jumping up and accepting the candy. He promptly hands half to Xander because sharing is caring!

"This time out is just a shorter detention. Just like how you're a shorter Bridge than I'm used to."

Xander pouts and pokes Mr. The Tick lightly on the knees. Then repeats himself.
