Phys Ed; Thursday, First Period [12/14].

It would seem that their time for mountain activities had passed, as class was being held back in the gym again, and it was very clearly going to be a classic return to form in the spirit of your typical phys ed class, if the stacks of colorful scooters were any indication.

Not that Gladio imagined his students would have that much in the way of knowing the cultural significance there; hell, even he'd only learned about this sort of thing after he'd started teaching gym classes, but it was apparently a staple, and so he wasn't about to let class finish up without dragging them out, and the final class was definitely already reserved for something else.

"Hope you're all ready to watch your fingers," he announced, "because today? We've got scooters. Now, these scooters are a popular activity for gym classes, it's fun, it's got a little element of danger with the potential of rolling over your fingers, and it can be a surprisingly good workout. Plus you guys'll get to see me on one of these things, which, believe me, is a sight to behold. I got a few activities centered around using the scooters, so let's take a few moments to warm up and stretch out and then we'll get right to it."

Ready to scoot!

Even if it doesn't look like the scooters will be all that taxing, it's always important to be warmed up and stretched out before any physical activity, after all, so get to it while Gladio breaks down the activities for the day.

At first, there's going to be a period of free-scooting to sort of get used to the scooters, but, after that, there's going to be a few races across the gym to really warm up, and then there's an obstacle course to weave your way around some traffic cones, and once those are done, it's time for a rousing game of scooter tag, which Gladio will be joining in on because how could he not?

And compliment the durability of those scooters that he didn't end up breaking one!

Nell didn't like this as much as the sledding, but it was fun. And even more fun to see Gladio attempt to fit himself onto one of the tiny scooters and fly around the gym.

Nell settled comfortably on a mat to wait until the other students had gone. ANd if her mind was drifting to thoughts of Gladio as her masseuse, well, it was a lovely thought.

And Gladio was going to make sure all the scooters were put away and taken care of before making his way over to Nell. Except for one. Which he was currently using to scoot over to her until he was parked right in front of her with a shameless grin.

"Hey," he said. "Good class?"

"It was fun," she said. "Not as fun as the sledding, but I didn't expect it to be."

Nell smiled at him sitting there. "I think you had more fun than any of us."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Gladio stated. "I'm a very gruff and tough guy who doesn't even know the meaning of the word 'fun.' I probably couldn't even spell it."

This gruff and tough guy was also now rolling closer, a leg stretching out on each side of Nell as he held out his hands for hers.

"And how'd your big spaaaa~ day go yesterday?"

"You be nice," Nell said with a smile. " I won't have anyone making fun of you, not even yourself."

She took his hands. "It was very nice. Liliana thinks you need to learn how to do massage though. I enjoyed it all, but it's hard to really relax with strangers touching you. Even very kind and respectful strangers."

"Oh, sure," Gladio snorted a laugh, as his thumb, now that he had Nell's hands, brushed lightly over the backs of them, "I can't even call myself gruff and rough, but Liliana can talk crap about my massage skills all she wants? I see how it is...

"But I'm gladio," he added, his smile softening into something more genuine, "you still gave it a try, even though it's something that might've been a little uncomfortable at first. I can definitely see how that might've been difficult..."

"Oh no," Nell said quickly. "She thought you'd be quite good at it and happy to make me all relaxed."

She smiled at him and leaned in for a kiss - everyone was gone afterall . "I did have a good time. I just didn't find it as relaxing as the others did. Very nice though. And I have bright pink toenails now."

Her fingernails were so light a pink that it could have been just a clear coat.

Everyone was gone, and Gladio had sort of put himself in prime kissing position, and he could just roll a little bit closer to meet Nell for that kiss, too.

"I am pretty good at it," he said with confidence, "and I definitely would be happy to make you feel all relaxed..."

He couldn't really help the faint grin there.

"And I'd also love to see those toenails for myself, too. Bright pink, huh?"

"Mmmm..." she murmured against his lips. "I think I'd like that."

Then she couldn't help but blush a little. "You want to see my toenails?"

Gladio snorted a laugh. "I want to see your toenail polish," he specified, although he hardly thought that he'd need to worry about Nell starting to think he was that kind of Foot Guy, and he grinned. "Maybe I don't believe you about the pink. Gotta call your bluff. And besides..."

He quirked a brow at her.

"You get a foot massage when you got them painted, too, or just that?"

Nell stared at him for the length of an eye blink and then she laughed. "You don't believe me? Ri-ght. But if you want to see my shiny pink polish I'll show you."

She started to take off her shoes and socks. "As a matter of fact I did get a foot massage when I got them painted."

"Aw, damn," said Gladio, chuckling as little as he rolled back to give her a little extra room, "and here I was hoping to get the chance to really blow your mind by giving you your first one. Or so I assume, anyway. Can't imagine God's Holy Cloud of Whatever," not even bothering to remember what the proper name was a good indication of how highly he thought of them, really, "was big on that sort of thing. Not for the women, anyway..."

Nell laughed again. "Not at all. Not for anyone."

She finished taking her socks off and wriggled her toes at him. "See? And I wasn't really relaxed during the foot massage because it was strange and they poked at my cuticles and, well, they weren't you."

"That is pretty bright pink," Gladio confirmed, laughing a little as he shook his head at the little flashes of color wiggling at him. He then looked at Nell for a moment, head tilted a little thoughtfully, before he then nodded toward her foot. "Should I give it a try anyway? I'm no professional, but..."

Like she said, the professionals weren't him, either.

"I don't want a professional," she said quietly. "I want you.

She lifted a foot toward him. "Please."

There was a soft smile at that, and a nod, and, almost with a gentleness that bordered on reverence, Gladio carefully took Nell's foot in his hands. "Just kick me," he suggested lightly, "if it starts to tickle."

But he was definitely going to be careful not to, and he was clearly being careful to start somewhat lightly, his thumb seeking out and experimenting a little with what spots might work , how much pressure she might like, and just putting those big hands of his to good work.

"So," he then asked, as he worked, "why pink, anyway? I would've thought....green, or something. Or was that a little too..."

There was a pause, not in his massage, that kept lightly going and responding to whatever feedback he could get from Nell's reactions in the moment, but just in his words, almost like he was trying to talk himself out of continuing, but he was clearly going with it anyway.

"....on the toes?"

Her small feet almost disappeared in his hands. She watched his face as he worked, so intent on what he was doing. It took her a minute to refocus on what he'd said and then she laughed.

"That's terrible." She smiled at him. "I don't really know why pink. Liliana said I should pick something fun and well, that's what I saw. Green would have been... I don't know. I guess this looked more fun."

Jon was really, really skeptical about the possibility of smashed fingers. And possibly kept flinching when he came even close to that, which was doing his speed no help.
