The Renaissance: Art & Science, Friday, 2nd period
"Right, so last week we were inundated with, well, cheap knock-offs," Steve began as they stood in front of the Portalocity Office. "Today we're going to travel to Florence to see some of the originals."
Tony beamed at that, gesturing the class forward to follow them to the museum in question. "Consider it a free day to immerse yourselves in the era."
"This is the Uffizi Museum, world famous for its Renaissance art collection," Steve said. "It holds paintings from the 14th century through the Renaissance, including names that are hopefully becoming familiar to you: Giotto, Botticelli, Caravaggio, Leonardo, Raffaello--and statues that were in the Medicis' homes. We have a bit of time, so feel free to explore the museum or pop out and enjoy Florence itself for a while."
"And try your best to stay out of trouble, okay?" Tony added.
