The Renaissance: Art & Engineering, Friday, October 6, 2023
"So I think we've thoroughly explored the early Renaissance," Steve said, "but we still need to cover the impact of the Medici family on the entire century. So I thought we'd watch this documentary."
It wasn't a documentary. It was a drama and the person playing Cosimo de Medici was distractingly hot.
"The politics of the time greatly influenced both art and the scientific world," Tony added. "But... maybe take some of this "documentary" with a grain of salt."
Steve nodded. "The historical record on the Medicis is...complicated, in large part because they were so powerful. People were either kissing up or hating them."
