Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

If anyone in Fandom could control the weather, they weren't doing a particularly good job with it today. It was quite hot and sticky outside, so the lawn was filled with as many pop-up tents as could be acquired to provide some well-needed shade. There were plenty of cool drinks and moddable food that would hopefully survive the heat--it might not have felt like summer would be ending any time soon, but it was time to celebrate the coming fall nonetheless!

"I'm guessing you're a coffee rather than a tea person," Lana said, handing him a cup.

"Good guess," Atton said. "On this side of 3 PM, anyway." He happily took the cup. "Still in for that co-teaching gig, or are you about to run away screaming on me?"

"Running screaming is counterproductive; it only brings attention to you," Lana said, sipping her own pumpkin spice latte. "And I think if either of us tried to quit, we'd have an angry moose after us."

"True, but you do earn a small chance of making the enemy laugh so hard he trips and snaps his own neck," Atton said. Sip. "Not a big chance, but still. And hey, I think I could take the moose if I wanted to."

"Some enemies are incredibly stupid," Lana agreed.

"Speaking of which, if you do try to take the moose, let me know. I'll set up a holofeed and take bets."

"Fine, but I want fifty percent of the earnings," said the guy who was supposed to be the Jedi in the conversation.

Lana shrugged. "Fair enough. I'll even spot you the healing so you don't have to spend it all on kolto."
