Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day
If anyone in Fandom could control the weather, they weren't doing a particularly good job with it today. It was quite hot and sticky outside, so the lawn was filled with as many pop-up tents as could be acquired to provide some well-needed shade. There were plenty of cool drinks and moddable food that would hopefully survive the heat--it might not have felt like summer would be ending any time soon, but it was time to celebrate the coming fall nonetheless!

Plus, someone had to drag Iggy out to be social every once in a while, too.

But all those pets were hopefully making up for his lapse in memory, and he shook his head, sort of marveling over the things that slip from your sometimes.
"How'd you end up with her?"
And then, as if realize that he'd gone into a little bit of a tangent there, added, "And I've been great, actually. Really, really great. Forgotten former roommates," a small smile and a scratch on Issa's chin, "aside, anyway."

"Well," he stated, "it's good to see that she's doing well and that she's clearly got someone who cares for her a lot looking after her. I just hope you've got a good strong vacuum cleaner, though, because if there's one thing I remember very well from living with her was that she sure knows how to shed."

"So," he said, figuring a change in topic might be wise before he had to deal with more unbidden dueling cat opinions in his head, "you teaching again this semester? Think it'll be much different now that they're shifting over to the college model?"

There was a slight grunt, a shake of his head, over the fact that here he was, making plans ahead of the fact now...
"I'd love to do something with swords one of these days, but Amaya and Rosa seem to have a corner on the weapons market, and I'm not sure there's much of an interest it, but, obviously, some kind of team fighting class with Iggy and Prompto is always a possibility, too. What are you doing this time around?"

Including Gladio's, though he was trying to avoid the fact he'd voluntarily signed up for physical activity.

"See, now," Gladio mused, "the folklore stuff, I might be kind of interested in something like that. I probably should have thought about taking a few classes here and there myself, actually. Mmm. Maybe next time around." His chin cocked up curiously. "So which ones are you taking?"
He maybe hadn't bothered getting around to looking into his rosters yet since he had plenty of time and the first class never really required much prep, really.

"We could all use the exercise, really," said the absolute Adonis of a man towering before him. "But Summer's class, too?" He shook his head. "That's brave, right there. But at least it's not one of her food ones."

"But don't worry." And now he was going to actually clap that encouraging hand on his shoulder. "It'll be good for you."

Jon, Gonzo had more muscle than you.

"Well," Gladio said encouragingly, "we all gotta start somewhere, right?"
