Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

If anyone in Fandom could control the weather, they weren't doing a particularly good job with it today. It was quite hot and sticky outside, so the lawn was filled with as many pop-up tents as could be acquired to provide some well-needed shade. There were plenty of cool drinks and moddable food that would hopefully survive the heat--it might not have felt like summer would be ending any time soon, but it was time to celebrate the coming fall nonetheless!

Cutter smiled, "aye," he nodded in agreement, "it will be good to get some practical experience again and go fossil hunting, I haven't been fossil hunting since Becker and I went to the highlands,"

"Can always tell the class the 'rock licking story' too" Connor said with a grin, because yet Becker would so appreciate that story spreading around!

Cutter couldn't help but laugh at that, "Oh I have to do that, we should record that class for Becker too, so we can immortalise it for him,"

"Aye, he will be thrilled to know the story is getting shared and enjoyed!" No not really but sure go ahead and tell yourself that Connor."You've at least got some cool fossils to how the class right off the bat thanks to Becker!"

"Oh definitely," Cutter grinned, "and we definitely do have quite the range of fossils to show, we managed to find quite a few different ones so that we can show them, I never did find that trilobite though," he added, "maybe I can ask Becker if I can borrow his for class,"

"I'm sure he wouldn't mind us borrowing it. So long as you promise not to try and keep it for yourself" he said with a playful wink because with Cutter and trilobites, you never knew.

Cutter tried to look innocent, "I wouldn't do that to Becker," he protested but it was very clear that the thought had crossed his mind, "he found that trilobite, actually he found it rather quickly," he added.

"So I heard. He seemed quite proud of himself about that when he showed it to me last time" Connor said with a grin. "I think we should set up a little fossil hunt of our own sometime, the three of us. Would be a lot of fun I think!"

"Oh we should definitely do that," Cutter smiled, "maybe next time we're home and if things have settled down enough with Christine, maybe we should look into going on a fossil hunt, we could make a weekend of it," he looked quite thrilled at the prospect of the three of them going on a fossil hunt.

"That would be amazing. Camp out and have some time just the three of us." Connor smiled as he thought about it. "And I'm sure Lester will enjoy the peace and quiet of everything too!"

“Oh I don’t think Lester would complain plus it’s not like we’re going on our own, Becker can still provide security,” Cutter added with a smile.

"Built in security," Connor said with a nod. "And it would be a good chance to get away and have some time with Becker. Ya know, outside all the ARC and press and everything else that has been going on."

"It will be nice to spend more time with Becker," Cutter agreed with a smile, "I think we should definitely ask him what he thinks when we next check in, maybe on a weekend or something we can arrange a fossil hunting trip?"

"Sounds like a plan!" Connor grinned as he finished up his drink. "Something good to look forward to. I'll bring it up with Becker when I call for our normal check-in tomorrow."

Cutter smiled at that, "it will be nice to have something to look forward after everything, you'll have to let me know what he says and we can start planning our fossil hunt,"

"Will do! I'm sure we can figure out something for a few weeks out" Connor said with a grin. "Lester had been talking about giving Becker some time off so maybe this will all line up nicely for once. Will let ya know what Becker says!"
