The park had a new addition to it in honor of the World Cup.

Or Anakin had just gotten this and it was a complete coincidence. One of those things!

World Cup matches weren't generally played on what was a field-sized Slip-and-Slide with just enough moisture to make everyone fall straight onto their butts either...

"Today we play soccer-football!" Anakin announced grandly through his megaphone. "Listen for your names!"

Of all the soccer kits Anakin could've found, these were definitely two of them!

Wait. That's probably not the right sport...

Team Tassel is dominating!

Team Tassel is still dominating, but now Anakin has added soap bubbles to the water!

He's still dry, at least for the moment, but in the Maryland heat being wet is probably preferable.

"Meep meep meep meep meep mee," Beaker said, looking down at the fake muscles on his shirt.

"Well, compared to the other guys, I think we got off easy," Steve said, flicking at the fringe on his shirt.

"Okay, so," said Summer, who clearly had opinions about this week's shirts, "as someone who has been turned inside out before, I'm allowed to actually find this very offensive, but mostly, I'm just offended because I think the tassels ones would look way cuter on me."

And once the shirt was actually on, she added, looking down at herself, "Like, seriously, I think I'm getting some PTSD right now."

Maybe she could just send Anakin her next therapy bill.

Meanwhile, Libby was actually delighted with her shirt this week, to the point where her weekly selfie to Zo was accompanied with the insistence that she was going to keep this one, because she may already be thinking of how funny it would be, once she got into nursing school, to wear it to an anatomy class or something.

She was even thinking it might be funny if she wore it into her clinic shift tomorrow.

The tassel shirt definitely made more sense for Sidon, who felt that he sort of looked like the other ones regularly, what with the coloring of his scales and his general lack of wearing clothes except in certain situations. The inflatable nature of the pool did make him a little nervous, though, considering his claws and everything, but he was pretty confident that him being assigned keeper was going to be an excellent advantage for his team, considering he was probably taller than the goal itself...

Being very, very careful to not let his claw puncture the pool, Sidon eagerly took his place in front of the goal with a pump of his fist and a bright grin around the 'field.'

"Let's go, team!" he called out enthusiastically. "We can do it! I believe in you!"

Also, you know, the whole 'keeper that takes up almost the whole space in front of the goal' thing probably wasn't going to hurt, either!

Oh, this was going to be awkward, considering that these shirts were just going to wind up making Eleanor sort of want to just, you know....eat her teammates.

Maybe she could just try to convince herself that it looked like something else? Or maybe she'd just focus on the water aspects; she was always more comfortable in water, anyway, so that might actually be good for soothing some of her more carnivorous tendencies, even if it wasn't much.

Beaker did not fill the goal. Beaker didn't even come close.

This was going to be a problem.

"Meep meep mee," he said nervously.

Oh, no. Graham was going to get super distracted with playing with the tassels on his shirt, wasn't he?

He was mostly thinking he should add tassels to his cloak, maybe, and the only thing saving him from that horrible decision was the fact that his mother made him this cloak, and he wouldn't want to mar her work.

But maybe something with tassels for Triumph...

"You can have mine," Stark offered, looking down at his deeply silly shirt.

Summer considered this offer, considered the shirts, and then lifted her brows with appreciation.

"Switch teams?" she said.

It would make future complaints invalid, sure, but that was fine, comments could be deleted.

"Or you could have it later," Stark pointed out.

She could even take it off herself if she wanted!

"Switch teams," Summer decided, and as a way to stop any arguments, she was already starting to pull hers off.

Look, feeling inside-out again was deeply uncomfortable, she'd literally play in her bra if it meant not wearing that shirt right now, and if Anakin had an issue with it, then she could just stuff it right inside him.

Yes, Summer pulling her shirt off right in front of him was a proven way to distract Stark from most other things. Forgive him if he stared for a moment before pulling his own shirt over his head and holding it out to her.

"Switch teams," he confirmed.

Well. Now that she and Stark had switched teams, Summer saw absolutely nothing wrong with this set-up and this was, quite frankly, one of the better games that Anakin had ever set up, in her never-so-humble opinion.

Oh, come on. Like it was anything new.

But Summer still quickly took Stark's shirt and handed him hers, and then pulled his over her head, because the less time spent topless around students, the better, probably, and once the shirt was tugged into place, she couldn't help shimmy her shoulders a little to see how well the tassels might move, and grinned.

"Much better."

Which, it should be noted, was not praise for the shirt itself, just a commentary on how bad the other shirt was, really.

Kitty frowned at her shirt.

"I'm uncomfortable."

"This is kind of making me want to eat myself," Raiden mused as he looked down at his shirt. "It's like I'm meat..."
