“Good morning,” Cutter nodded as they started the first week of classes for the second session, every now and then he was glancing down at his new fingerless gloves and smiling softly at them, “this is Introduction to Dinosaurs Part 2, we’ll be continuing where we left off last session and continue to explore new dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures,” he said, “since we’re a small class and we all know each other, I thought we would do something different for our first class and we could do a quiz to refresh on what we covered last session before we continued on with what we’ll be covering for this session,”

He nodded at Connor, giving him a smile to indicate for him to continue with the class.

Connor returned the smile and nod with his own as he turned and looked at the familiar faces. “So this is just a quick little fun quiz we put together for you guys,” Connor said as he handed out a few papers. On it, you will find three ‘facts’ about each of the creatures we learned about last class. Only one of the facts given is incorrect. You need to tell us which one is incorrect for each creature listed.” Had he just turned Two Truths and a Lie into a class assignment? Yes, yes he had- in typical Connor Temple fashion. Connor looked back to Cutter to see if he wanted to add anything else.

Cutter smiled, “this quiz isn’t counting towards anything, it’s just a bit of fun,” yes Cutter thought a quiz was fun, “see what you can do and if there’s anything you need, myself and Mr. Temple will be on hand to answer any questions,”

Cutter was feeling a lot more confident about teaching this time round now that he and Connor were doing a lot better and he felt that they could manage this session teaching as friends.

He sat at his desk, catching up on some science journals that he had started reading as he did.

Connor might still have been a little tired that morning after the late-night portal back to Fandom and the evening catching up with Cutter. But he was there and was also feeling quite excited about the class this time around.

Cutter smiled as he walked over to Connor, "the gloves are working really well," he said as he showed the gloves he was wearing, "thank you again for this," he said softly.

"Really, that's great. Let's have a look!" Connor said with a grin as he walked over to take a closer look. "Oh, that does look like a nice pair. I'm glad they are helping you Nick."

Cutter flexed his hands carefully, enjoying the feel of the gloves on his hands, "it's ... it's nice being able to look at my hands again," he said softly. He knew that one day he would have to work through this but he figured that he'd eventually work towards it, in the meantime the gloves would help.

"Hey, no harm in using things to help us along right?" Connor said as he fiddled with the ends of the scarf he was wearing a little bit. And he would have to figure out how to deal with things soon- it was already getting too warm to really be wearing a scarf - even a fashionable one- anymore. "Gotta do what we can to make it easier right? No shame in that."

Cutter nodded at that, watching as Connor fiddled with his scarf and understood what he meant, "That's what Dr. Taylor says," he said softly, "I guess I'm still getting used to the whole idea of asking for help ... it's a work in progress," he admitted.

"Worl in progress here too" Connor said as he nervously chewed his lip for a moment. He knew there was no harm in telling Cutter, that he would understand, but he still felt really vulnerable saying it out loud. "I... I've started seeing someone too. Lester helped get me set up actually. Had... had a session before I came back actually. Lester let me stay at the flat a few days after the tri and he got it set up for me."

"I'm glad Lester helped you get to see someone," Cutter nodded, "it ... it really does help, talking to someone .... I didn't see it at the time, when we had those sessions at the hospital but now," he paused, "I can't imagine not having Dr. Taylor to talk to," he admitted.

Connor nodded and gave a small shrug. "Speaking of the hospital... I'm seeing Dr. Jones." Connor didn't know why he felt he needed to tell Cutter that but it was something he didn't feel right keeping from him either.

"I'm glad she's able to help you," Cutter said softly, wanting to be as encouraging as he could, "I didn't ... I didn't want to go back to the hospital," he admitted.

"Yeah, I wasn't too keen on going back to the hospital either" Connor admitted. "Lester set it up so I'm going to her main office for the sessions. So... that makes it easier in a way." He still wasn't sure it was going to be all that helpful but he knew he had to try and Lester had recommended it so he knew he needed to at least give it a chance. "The first session we had the other day went well at least."

"I'm glad it went better than the session at the hospital," Cutter said softly, "I think I needed to talk to someone different, to help me start to work through everything but it's good that Lester helped you be able to go to her main office instead,"

"Yeah, I had thought about going to someone different but... didn't feel like having to hash everything out all over again so soon ya know?" Connor gave Cutter a small somewhat sad nod. "But I think it will be a good fit. And getting back to Fandom and all is really nice too."

Cutter nodded at that, understanding full well what Connor meant, "I think that's important to have someone be a good fit, I think that's why it's been helpful being able to talk to Dr. Taylor," he said softly, "and I'm glad you're back in Fandom too, I ... I missed you," he added with a small smile.

Connor smiled and nodded at that. "Same... looking forward to getting back into things and figuring out what the new normal is going to look like."

Cutter nodded as he returned the smile, "let me know if there's anything at all I can do to help with that," he asked, wanting to be as supportive of Connor as he could be.

"Will do" Connor said with an appreciative smile. Just being back, being able to talk to Cutter again, and getting bak to classes and all as a big help already!
