The Tony!Pony was in a pony-sized clear hamster ball, looking decidedly grumpy about it. "I am not giving you another bath when you wander through the paintball line of fire," Steve was explaining as the participants arrived.

"Hey," he said, smiling. "Tony's still a pony, but fortunately we have these giant plastic balls from last year, so everyone can join him in their own balls. You might be wondering how that works for paintball, but don't worry. I've put a bunch of paint buckets all over the course. If you hit one--or make someone else hit one--and drop the paint on their ball, they're eliminated."

His smile widened. "It'll be fun!"

Well, if you signed up for paintball, you already knew Steve's idea of fun.

Stark was not the best at navigating while inside a giant hamster ball.

Stark was probably doomed.

Anakin was weirdly good at this. Because he was weird!

The creepy little grin on his face as he rolled past probably wasn't helping anything, either, huh.

"No cheating!" Stark yelled from inside his ball, trying to roll away.

"I'm not cheating, I'm using my advantages!"

Stark couldn't see the bucket he was headed towards because he'd turned toward Anakin and it was on his blind side.

WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

Because that bucket was definitely tipping.

Summer, originally, thought this idea was honestly kind of hilarious.

And then Summer actually got into her ball and almost immediately felt uncomfortable in a way that she, having had more than enough therapy to recognize such things, realized that she was maybe sort of having a bit of a PTSD reaction to being confined in a bubble-like space with the immediate threat of things around her going on.

Was she going to let that stop her? Fuck no. She was just going to breathe out and be glad that these hamster balls weren't so Tony Stark tech-esque as to have voice modules in some capacity. And also remind herself that it was just a fucking hamster ball, she'd been in much worse and even tighter restrained quarters before, Jesus, brains were dumb. But it definitely left her pretty distracted and paying attention to the wrong things, to the point where she'd almost be grateful once someone managed to get paint all over her ball.

Stark didn't actually mean to bump his ball into Summer's. He just wasn't good at steering and he was trying to stay far away from Anakin.

He was going to feel SO guilty if he knocked her into a paint bucket.

"This is really, really special," Steve muttered, rolling around experimentally. "I feel stupid."

Alara was rather surprised at how well she actually was able to do considering she was in the hamster ball and usually she ended up breaking things like this.

So she was very pleasantly surprised that she ended up winning.
