"Hello, everybody." Lana smiled. "Today we can step through the portal before I do our introduction." She waved them through, where they came out in front of a stately home in a cool climate (which they had been alerted to dress for).

"Welcome to Alderaan. It's somewhat less cosmopolitan than either of the capitals. The inhabited area is largely forests and mountains. The cities are smaller and largely centered around noble houses - House Thul and House Organa are two of the major houses locally. We won't be visiting either of them, though; politics are very important here, and which house is aligned with which government can be a touchy subject. The Alliance's staunchest allies here are the indigenous species, the killiks."

She nodded to a man standing a little way off, and he came over and bowed. "Good afternoon. We are Vector Hyllus, the Dawn Herald of the Oroboro nest. We will be your guide through the nest today, where you will encounter some of our art and technology. Most killiks cannot speak Basic, but joiners like us can and will. Please let us know if you have any questions."

Lana nodded to Vector. "There is also an aerial tour of the planet, which I highly recommend ~~because the thrantas are SO EFFING COOL OMG~~, but which is entirely optional if you have difficulties with heights."

It's really pretty. And the buildings are tall, but not skyscrapers.

And this is more Vector if you want to know what he's like. (Spoiler alert: he's awesome.)

Surprise, surprise, Watts had plucked a bit of greenery as they passed by some and was twirling it between his fingers as they looked around.

Steven was once again taking photos of everything. Well, not literally everything, but plenty of photos all the same.

The lack of skyscrapers was an immense relief after the last couple of weeks, honestly.

Steph had actually gone and gotten one of those holo-thingies at some point during last week's field trip, which she was gleefully putting to use right now.

When there was a free moment, Steven came over to Steph. "Steph, hello! How are you?"

Steph had been busy gawking up at a thranta in the sky, but her neck was definitely grateful for the distraction.

"Hey, Steven! I'm good, what's up?"

"Not the sort of travel for me, I'm afraid," Steven said when he saw what she was looking at. "I leave flying outside of a vehicle to Marc. But, er, wanted to say I saw your posters. For Pride? Can I be of any help at all?"

"I do like my plants," Nell said with a smile. "Oh! We're going to be watching a baseball game at my house tomorrow night if you'd like to join us."

"I really know nothing at all about baseball," Lana felt obliged to say.

Libby would always go for the tours when they were available (less chance of her wandering off this way, really!), but when that tour also included a ride on some great fantastical creature?

“Miss Beniko,” Watts greeted with a slight nod, still twirling the bit of greenery he’d plucked from somewhere between his fingers. “If I might have a moment of your time?”

"Please, Detective, call me Lana." She chuckled at the greenery and nodded at it. "Careful there. That one's fine - most things on Alderaan should be - but there are quite a few carnivorous and poisonous plants around. What can I help you with?"

“Hmm?” Watts followed her gaze down to the bit of greenery he’d been fiddling with and blinked, as if just realizing it was there. “Ah. Yes. I was wondering- how much do you know about those… simulation rooms, at the apartments?”

‘Holosuite’, technically, but it wasn’t as if Watts knew enough about them to be aware of the proper name.

"Simulation...oh! You mean the holosuites, where you can program them to be whatever you need?" Lana asked, to make sure.

I'm not a huge fan of the Imperial Agent storyline despite it being most people's vote for best-written, but the companions are *awesome*.
