Let's Go Camping! - Friday, Third Period. [05/19].

"Welcome back, everyone," said Gladio, grinning at the class at the meeting spot at the edge of the preserve, where camping packs waited for them still, as well as the ubiquitous red ColemanTM cooler and several bundles of firewood. "Last week, we talked tents, and the importance of shelter when camping, and today, we're going to be focusing on one of the next most important thing for a campsite: the fire. We're going to be discussing how to build one and important campfire safety, before enjoying the fruits of our labor with some classic campfire snacks.

"But first?" He flashed that all-too-pleased with himself grin again. "We gotta get there. Grab your packs, and grab some firewood, and we'll head in. Now, you don't have to grab the firewood if you don't want to, but that just means when we get to the site, you'll be foraging for your tinder instead. So you got options. Let's get going."

While the prospect of having to haul her own firewood was, easily, one of the worst things Irene had been presented with in some time (because her life here in Fandom was, after all, very hard), the idea of having to find her own was obviously much worse.

So it was with a long, continuous whine that she hefted her pack onto her back, and further whimpery, pathetic, complaining noises that she grabbed a bundle of firewood.

If she had to do this, she would be damned if everyone didn't know how profoundly unhappy it all made her.
