The Floor is Lava - Thursday, Period One

Well, today the danger shop was done up to look like an arcade that was half submerged in jello the lava, complete with terribly out of date colors to give it a vaporwave feel. A meta for Tron feel, really. But who didn't want to jump onto a Pac Man machine to safety?

"So, this time around, Cara and I are participating," Jane said with a touch of uncertainty. Her poor cape, guys. It didn't need jello on it.

"We're also allowing powers today, to keep things interesting," Cara added, with all the confidence of being the person with the Danger Shop remote.

"It'll be fine," Jane said, though she did not seem particularly confident in that fact.

"For one of you at least." Nice encouragement there, Cara.

Charlie was rather distracted, thinking about charms she might be able to use to help here, and ended up zigging when she should have zagged. Which resulted in her falling into the 'lava' pretty quickly.

Vi started into this with the same confidence and surety as last week. Which was why she was very surprised indeed when her solid footing literally vanished from underneath her.

Steph had just been about to jump after Vi when the arcade machine just... disappeared?

"Oh man, you mean I have to figure this out on my own today?" she asked, sounding mildly disappointed.

It wasn't that she couldn't, because she'd end up surprising herself with how long she'd manage to hang in there, but it was fun doing this with Vi.

Vi wiped bright cyan jello off her face. "Looks like," she said, grumpily. "You got this though."

Aw. Steph loved a good vote of confidence, and Vi got a broad smile for it.

"I'll buy dinner tonight if it makes you feel better," she offered.

Was it Vi's reassurance that did it, or a need to avenge her in some weird way? That was a mystery, but somehow Steph managed to do a little bit better than she had last week.

"I'm holding you to that," Vi called out wading alongside as she watched Steph's progress.

As was usual in situations like this Stark was aiming to surpass Anakin. Anything else was a bonus.

That was why he got a little too confident and splashed down into the jello lava mere moments after Anakin did.

One Steve on the floating air-hockey-ish table was fine. Two Steves was getting a little tippy, and when Anakin joined them, the entire thing tipped into the jello.

"No one tell Tony!" Steve Rogers called.

"Oh, stop it," Steve McGarrett muttered, sliding under the Jello.

Guillermo was definitely enjoying himself a quite a lot and was rather surprised by how easy he was finding the course this week and then he managed to not fall in the lava... "I won?" he blinked.

He had never won anything before, especially one that involved a lot of physical activity.

Belle was not distracted by petty feuds (and hadn't been since Five had gone and vanished, the nerve of some old/young men!) and was able to focus on the course.

This, combined with the fact that she was tiny and could balance on small surfaces, meant she got reasonably far. Until one hop landed her directly into the lava.

"It disappeared!" she protested. But to no avail.
