This was it. Today was The Day! It was showtime.

Jaskier was definitely looking weepy about it. "Oh, look at you all, I'm so proud!"

"And I'm sure that all your friends and classmates and everyone else in the audience will be equally proud." Because invites had been sent.

"So, get out there and break a leg," Jaskier said like they weren't tossing these poor students into the deep end here.

"Not literally." Cara, you could at least try to sound more sympathetic.

Where there had never been a script. Ever.

Clare was doing her very best, wearing a terrible Anakin-esque bob and a brown bathrobe while stomping around and glaring at veryone.

Vi pulled on a random wig.

"Professor Skywalker, you're looking very...stompy today."

"Thank you," Clare said in a Northern Irish accent that sounded nothing like Anakin. "It brings me no joy."

"Usually stomping and glaring brings you great joy," Vi said. "What's wrong?"

You know, apart from the lack of script.

"I don't know," Clare said, glaring oh-so-ineffectively. "Maybe I should drive a bus? Or kick a gremlin."

"Kicking a gremlin sounds like a choice that could never have any kind of negative consequences."

Look at Vi, trying very hard for dramatic irony.

"I have done it many times," Clare intoned, nodding. "It's fun."

What.

"Maybe you should find some to kick right now," Vi suggested.

"That sounds like a good idea that will not backfire at all!" Clare agreed.

Oh yes, they were inflicting this on anyone who decided to attend.

Did you know there was a Huttese version of "what the shit is this?" Because Anakin did! And he was muttering it under his breath!

It's magical, really.
