Autolycus tells both his classes the exact same thing today.

"You're having your finals this Friday in the Danger Shop, so spend this class and the rest of the week revising."

"It really does," Angela said thoughtfully. "I cou;dn't go back to my old high school. Too much has happened here.

She smiled, embarassed. "I don't even call my friends or my sister that often. It's too hard to explain how things are here without sonding like I went mental."

"My parents don't understand why I want to stay, because all they ever hear about is the times I hang out in the common rooms or wander down to the Perk for coffee," she said. "They'd never understand weetiny bunnies or snow monsters."

"I'm lucky at least, given the whole alien thing, my brother and our friends are at least used to thinking about strange things. But I have to admit, there are times when even they have a hard time believing me."

Angela nodded. "I tell my parents about common room and my classes? But I don't mention weetiny bunnies or running toilets. Or, no offense, but they wouldn't believe me if I mentioned going to school with aliens."

"But it all makse sense in some weird way."

"Angela, my own parents don't even know the truth. So trust me, I understand completely."

"Seriously?," Angela asked, genuinely surprised. "Do they have any idea, or are they just in their own world?"

"I don't know," she said quietly. "Sometimes I think my mom might suspect something. She saw Max heal a bird once, and even though he tried to convince her otherwise, I wonder." Isabel sighed, "I'd like to tell them, but I'm afraid. What if they freak? What if it puts them in danger?"

"And it's not exactly something you could take back," Angela said, grimly. "Plus, with your brother? It's not like it's just your secret, even. He'd have to agree."

"Don't think we haven't fought about it," she said. "It's not just the two of us though, we have Michael to think about as well. He's even more determined to keep things secret." Isabel pushed her hair back out of her face, "I still haven't told them that everyone knows the truth. Their heads are going to explode."

"Eesh. Sounds like things would give a new definition to the word awkward if they ever came to visit here," Angela said. "Maybe you should write them a letter or something? Prepare them before you go home."

"~~What and ruin future plot?~~ The two of them? Here?" Isabel shook her head and laughed just a bit. "They wouldn't survive an evening in the second floor common room."

"We are pretty scary," Angela said seriously. "Hey, that reminds me. We were going to hang out in the common room tonight, have pizza, watch chick flicks tonight. Are you up for that?"

"Count me in. I had my Western Lit final yesterday and my Speech final this morning. I'm ready for an evening of relaxation," she said. "Any special reason for the gathering? Or just because?"

"Because of finals," Angela said. "People are stressed. We need to not be stressed."

"I'll be there. Definitely."
