Library, Thursday 2/15
Belle had not been herself last week and thus unable to work in the library. The books were not sized for sugar gliders and Five probably would have worked himself into a state trying to keep her from leaping off high shelves in here.
This week Belle was very much herself, albeit herself in a very distracted and excitable mood. She had put her hair up high off her neck today and had an extra button or two undone on her blouse. It felt so terribly warm in the library today. It had been so uncomfortably warm so many places this week.
While Belle was trying to shelve books she kept being distracted by interesting covers and titles and occasionally stopping to open a book and flip through a few pages before placing it in a pile to save for later. She had already torn through a large number of novels of varying quality this week as well as some educational volumes but she was always eager for more reading material.
When she found a book entitled Adventures of a Young Woman Abroad by one Eliza Ladywood Belle was intrigued. Once she had read the opening chapter Belle was entranced and brought the book back to the desk with her to continue reading. It was rather salacious and terribly interesting and claimed to be autobiographical.
"Oh, I should like to meet this Miss Ladywood," Belle murmured to herself. "I should like that very much indeed. Or perhaps I'd like to meet this cowboy she describes."
Belle was glad she'd brought iced tea with her today. Not just because she felt so warm but because regular tea would have been tepid at best by the time she remembered it was there once she became lost in the book.

Talk to Belle
Re: Talk to Belle
But he was fine.
Which was why he was showing up at the library. For no particular reason at all.
Re: Talk to Belle
"Oh, hello Five." Where had that particular tone of voice come from? But it matched the look she was giving him quite well.
Re: Talk to Belle
"Hello, Belle."
Re: Talk to Belle
"I was hoping to see you."
Belle carefully marked her place in the book and set it down.
Re: Talk to Belle
"Were you?"
Re: Talk to Belle
"I haven't seen you in some time," Belle said. "Perhaps I've missed you."
Perhaps she just needed to attempt some experiments. For science.

Maybe she just needed to leave the desk and walk closer to him.
"And you aren't busy now?"
Re: Talk to Belle
Re: Talk to Belle
"I would hope not."
Not without her, anyway.
Re: Talk to Belle
He dated mannequins after all! Well. One mannequin.
Re: Talk to Belle
"I haven't been doing any fumbling either."
And it had been a lot of days of very much wanting to, now.

Re: Talk to Belle
"There has been no one to fumble with."
Belle only had eyes for one murderous older man with mysterious powers at the moment.
Re: Talk to Belle
"And is that someone... me?"
You know, just making it clear.

And, of course Five had to kiss her back. Oh, the sanctity of the library was ruined here.
Re: Talk to Belle
What, she could tease him a little!

Re: Talk to Belle
"Good. Unless you have someone else for yourself."
Who Belle would fight, right now.

Re: Talk to Belle
If her memories from the reunion weekend held true there wouldn't be much fumbling at all though there would be plenty of activity.

"I've been waiting all week," she repeated against his mouth.
