"I hope everyone had a good time at prom? Today's a good review day. Because I know you all spent the weekend ignoring your projects--which, hey, I would do if I had a prom to go to. So today we can discuss your papers, and you can ask me for a note to Special Collections if you need one for research purposes, and let's just all try not to goof off too much, okay?"

OOC: Replies after 4:30 CST? Will likely go unseen 'til the next business day. Woe. Unless I can persuade my husband to share his computer with me, and, um? Nah, not worth it. OCD is up.

"Can I have a pass to Special Collections?" Bel asked. Innocently. "I'd like to find any first person accounts from actual witches about the medieval witch craze. You don't really find true witches in the usual books, at least not that they admit."

"I think I can manage that," said Jenny, scribbling a detailed note of Belthazor's requirements. ~~Not that we actually expect them to be followed once you get into SC, right?~~ "Just be sure not to go for what you don't need. I hear that the library staff gets picky about that."

Kiki pulls out a book and starts reading it, occasionally scribbling a few words in a notebook or sticking a slip of paper in to mark a page.

"I found some interesting examples of spells gone wrong online, but I could probably find better examples in Special Collections, so I might need a pass," Piper said.

"No problem," said Jenny, scribbling out a quick note for Piper specifying what she was looking for. "You might want to ask Rupert Giles--from Aereopagitica--for some guidelines. He's had a lot of practical experience dealing with the aftereffects of magic."

Xander does manage to tear himself away from his ~~empty inbox~~ research to ask, "I could use a pass to Special Collections I think, yeah. Not gonna find much about alternate universes online or in the regular section of the library that's not all theory and rumor." He makes a face. "Believe me, I'll get one of the library aides to go with me, though. This I know from experience."

Jenny wrote out a note for Xander. "Sure, no problem," she said, grinning. She was pretty sure Xander wouldn't use this to look for the adult materials. Only. "Been the recipient of the library's irritation before? I keep hearing weird rumors about that place."

Xander glanced over at ~~where~~ Logan ~~would be if he actually showed up to class OMG~~. "We maybe got a little off-track. I'm not sure it was irritated so much as snickering at us."

Maia approached Ms. Calendar's desk, it was rare that she spoke with her outside of class but she needed a note.

"Ms. Calendar? I was wondering if you could give me a note to get into the Special Collections. Just in case, I have three more books to look at and I think one of them is in that section."
