Shop Class: [4/24]

The shop class actually looks like a normal shop class today. Mac has generously supplied coffee, muffins and Bagels from J,GOB.

"Today class I thought we'd extend the prom theme a little bit today in honor of one your classmates being elected 'Prince'. Today's assignment is to make yourself a crown and sceptre and then proclaim yourself king or queen over a certain area of influence."

Mac then places a crown he made as an example for class on his. "For instance: I now proclaim myself King of the Shop Class room. Get the idea? Anyone who wears their crown the rest of the day and acts in a royal manner will get an automatic A for the course."

Using a sodering iron (and soder, of course), some sheet metal, several feet of stainless steel wire and a large handful of ornamental fake aluminum coins, Nadia fashioned herself a lightweight, intricate crown that she wouldn't mind wearing for the rest of the day, and turned one of her pencils into a small, jingly little sceptre that could easily double as a hair stick. She put the crown on and jingled her sceptre.

"I hereby declare myself to be . . . um . . . the Empire of Records?"

"Well, I would, but Empire is actually closed on Mondays." Nadia shrugged. "Are you going to wear your crown all day, King Mac?"

"Good point." Nadia adjusted her crown, thinking for a minute, then burst into a very unqueenly grin. "I declare myself to be Queen of England! Long live the queen!"
