Intro to Fandom, Monday 12/12, First Period
"Well, everyone," Summer began, with a bit of a gesture of her hands as she looked over the classroom, "you finally did it. You're almost at the end of having completed a first semester here at Fandom High."
“It was a mostly quiet semester,” Stark said. He knew better and you could blame him later in the week when everything started going wrong. “But this place is a lot to take in and a lot to deal with. Making it through your first few months is still very good. I hope we helped, at least a little. Maybe you weren’t too surprised when every building turned edible this morning.” He paused. “Please don’t eat the buildings.”
"What we thought we'd do today," Summer continued with a nod, "is let you guys put together what you think was helpful or useful, either from this class or from your own experiences outside of it, that you'd want to impart to an incoming student. If you'd like, you can even make a little list or guidebook for an incoming student with the next semester, as a way to share your knowledge and wisdom and help make someone else's transition into this place a little easier."
"Maybe your guides will come in useful for the new students that come in," Stark said. "Or for someone else who might try to teach a course like this." Or maybe these two would try it again in the future. Who could say. "We're here if you need help, of course."
"Otherwise," Summer said, "we'll leave you to it and have a look at your progress as you go along, and, not gonna lie, it's a good way for us to see what you took away from the class that you found particlarly helpful, too."

And, of course, That Which Shall Not Be Named...
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
"Maybe the island won't let it rain, at least." But there could be squirrels or raccoons or porgs chewing through buildings at this very moment!
"The hats I don't mind so much now. I did the first time when I didn't understand why I couldn't get rid of it."
And the narrative was sure it didn't know what Summer's narrative was referring to.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
"But I could definitely see how the Santa hats could freak pit someone who wasn't used to or expecting them."
She was pretty sure endless hats had actually been one of the things that drove Barry to the brink of insanity before he finally learned the importance of just chilling the fuck out.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
"I wonder if tomorrow will be more food. Sugar snow? We've had that before."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
....a little bit more worried than he no doubt already was, anyway.
But you know what would not at all help her plans, island???
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
"Will you be decorating lobster cupcakes with sugar snow?"
Stark why would you give her IDEAS?
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
"Oh, shit," said Summer, swiftly whipping out her phone to look something up, "that's great. I could call it, like, the Santa Claws cupcake or something."
Come on, Stark. Even with just the one eye, you should have seen that coming from a mile away.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
He knew better. He just enjoyed the proximity to grossness.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
Maybe a distraction of some kind? Or a bribe?
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
"Probably not."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
Don't say it.
"Gross?"
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
At least this time, it just earned Stark a cool side-eye instead of inspiring in Summer an instant urge to abort mission.
"Oh," she said, "would you actually prefer crab, then?"
Good luck looking Stabby in the eye at the clinic later now, Stark!
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
He paused, then grinned. "Unless they're gummy crabs? Jello shaped like crabs?"

Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
"We could decorate them." In a friendly non-vibey fashion.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
A pause.
"Or vegan."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
"I found a recipe for fried cupcakes but that seems like it may be a bit much."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
"And kosher means something meets all the dietary requirements of Jewish law. Do I know what those are? No. But I do know shellfish ain't it."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
He grinned. "And I'm glad shellfish aren't kosher then. Less likely to sneak into any desserts for the party."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - Intro to Fandom 12/12
Maybe he was just hungry.
