Anakin had three small people in tow today when he came into the Danger Shop. One of them was his wife, so that was awkward. "Today's diplomacy experiment will be negotiating the playground," he announced, gesturing to the elaborate set behind him. "Do not climb up the slide, get kicked by someone on a swing, or be a merry-go-round hog. If you aren't actually bleeding, do not involve a grown up. Now go. Play."

The playground is moddable, but your resources are not unlimited! Are you the kid who is forever not done yet with a swing?

Don't be that kid. No one likes that kid.

As much as Libby wanted to climb on the monkey bars or up on some of the higher equipment, she knew it wasn't proper for ladies to do so, especially since she was wearing a long skirt that would make it really difficult to do that! Swinging could be a little tricky with a skirt, too, and the see-saw was right out, so she was a little torn on what exactly she could do at a playground. She'd never actually been to one before, so a lot of it was just really strange, and she was mostly going to watch the other kids and see what they did for ideas, maybe.

"Come on!" Charlie yelled, tearing past her. "Let's run! We can play tag! You're It!"

Libby winced a little bit at all that yelling; so much for children being seen and heard, apparently, watching with wide eyes as the other little girl....with purple hair!...went tearing by.

"It?" she asked, and then, realizing that the other little girl probably wouldn't be able to hear her, she tried hurrying after her, hesitation a moment before calling out, "What's It?"

Then she gave a nervous glance over toward the adult on the playground, half-expecting him to chastise them for being so rowdy.

Charlie stopped and came back over to explain patiently. "It's Tag," she said. "One person is It and they have to chase the other people and try to tag them. And whoever gets tagged is IT!"

She ran around in a little circle, yelling, "I'm It!" Then she ran up and tagged Libby. "Now you're it and you have to run after me - or anyone else - and try and tag them."

Libby listened very carefully to the instructions, nodding a little. She wasn't very good at running, which was fine, it was more of a thing for boys to be good at, but if it was just a game, maybe it would be okay.

But just to test that she understood, she lifted a hand and reached out to touch the other girl's shoulder.

"And now," she guessed, "you're It again?"

Charlie laughed delightedly. "Yes! I'm It! Run!"

She dashed around the room giggling like mad to give Libby a chance to run.

And Libby did, in fact, run, although she felt a little awkward and kind of silly about it, and her skirt definitely didn't help with things, but her arms were pumping as she made a hurried dash over to the slide, where she figured she could maybe hide a little and slow the other girl down as a sort of obstacle.

Charlie ran after her, but gave the other girl time to escape. "Keep going, I'm coming!"

She dodged left and right and around and finally made a dash, "Aaaaaaaahhh! Aaaaaaand..."

Would she make it? "Taaaaaag...!"

Because sometimes negotiations break down!

At some point Charlie ran up to Anain and tagged his robe. "Tag! You're It!" she yelled.
