"Good afternoon," Hannibal greeted the students. "I hope you've had enough candy already. Today we will be experiencing more generally autumn-themed events."

He led them through the portal. "Welcome to Treinen Farm. Autumn is traditionally a time of harvest, and before the harvest it's become a custom lately to build mazes in corn fields. This is one of the best in the United States, according to several lists, so it should be interesting. And it should take approximately one hour to complete, so I will leave you all to it. If you finish, I'll have hot cider and molasses cookies for you."

Meanwhile, he'd be drinking the coffee he'd brought and visiting the petting zoo. Because shut up, animals were often superior to humans.

Kurt definitely wanted to try the corn maze, but he was not missing the opportunity to hang out with the animals. He kinda shared the sentiment that animals were better than humans in most cases- at least the "normal people" he had known before coming to Fandom.

"This reminds me of back home on the farm!" he said with a happy sigh as he loved on the baby goats.

Hannibal smiled wryly. "But if these are meant for the abattoir, you won't have to see it." He ruffled a sheep's head.

"Aye... always the part I never liked," Kurt said.

"It is what we raise them for," Hannibal pointed out. "The best we can do is treat them well in their time with us."

"I know.... it's just hard sometimes." Kurt said a little sadly. "Animals have never hurt me the way people have. I've always felt closer to most animals than people. I know that what we raise them for, it's just hard not to get attached at times."
