"Today kids, we'll be painting backdrops and decorations for prom. The theme is Lost Cities and I have a list for you to work from. There's pictures and other information in each backdrop's area."

At that, Xander looks up and grins. "See now if I were a comic book geek? I would think that was really, really, really, really, really cool." Xander coughs. "As a guy who's just storing the entire run of Y-People under my bed 'for a friend,' it's... still kinda nifty."

Isabel wandered over. No, she was not coming over to smile at the cuteness of Xander and Bridge. Really. She was just here to make sure to backdrop looked nice so Parker would stop panicking. "Hey guys! Need help?"

"Help is always appreciated," Bridge says with a grin, and waves at the pile of decorating supplies.

Since Xander was already working with glitter, Isabel started drawing knights on top of the castle walls. "What do you think?"

Bridge watches her draw for a few seconds, and then gives Isabel a thumbs-up. "Looks good so far!"

"They're slightly more then stick figures. But you get the idea," she said. "So are you guys all set for tomorrow? Tuxes? Dinner arrangements? Flowers?"

"Yes flowers. It's tradition. I'm thinking a nice tasteful bouttonaire for each of you," Isabel grinned.

"No fair freaking out the roomie on the day before Prom when he's thinking, 'well at least there's one think I don't have to worry about...'"

Xander stuck his tongue out at her.

"Lapel flowers I can handle, though." He shrugged, then glanced at Bridge. "Dinner...uhhhhh. Hadn't really talked about it."

"Well there's not to many options," Isabel said. "Ching Tai, Luke's, or Cafe Fina. Or there's always my choice, ramen in the room."

Xander blinked again. "Okay, who do I have to beat up for feeding my roomie ramen noodles before Prom? 'Cause formal sit-down dinner might be a little beyond my brainpower for this, but dude. There's gotta be a better option than just add water."

"There is nobody to beat up. I'm going on my own," she said. "In case you haven't noticed? There's a shortage of single men on this campus. So I'll eat something in before I head out."

Xander raised an eyebrow. "Well, I wasn't really...shopping for one? Just kinda happened. So no, hadn't been keeping track of the stats."

He twirled an as-yet-unglittered flag between his fingers. "Eating in doesn't sound like a bad idea though."

Bridge nods. "I second that. Everywhere will probably be all packed anyway," he says with a shrug.

And now she felt sad and pathetic. "You don't have to stay in because of me. I really am okay with it."

"You completely underestimate my lack of desire to deal with dinner reservations, waiting around for food in an overcrowded restuarant, and, well, thinking any more than I already have to about this whole thing. My complex has a complex already, seriously."

Xander eyed her, then glitter-glued the flag in his hands, and held it out.

One side said YA RLY.

The other said SRYUSLY.

Isabel smiled just a little brighter then before. "Thanks. I have to go to town and pick some stuff up tomorrow. Do you want me to pick something up?"

"Cheeseburger and onion rings from Luke's?" Xander said thoughtfully.

He glanced at Bridge, seemed to calculate something for a second, then grinned and said, "Or let's just make that fries."

"Obviously you're going to eat before you get dressed," Isabel laughed. "Bridge, what do you want for dinner tomorrow? I'm going to get stuff from Luke's and bring it back?"

"Burger and fries sounds excellent." Bridge says.

"Excellent. I'll get it and bring it back to the room about an hour before the Prom starts. Thanks guys. I mean it." Smiling happily, Isabel started working on the backdrop again. Happy knights. There were going to be lots of happy knights.

"And thank *you* for picking up dinner," Bridge smiles at Isabel.

"So, staying for summer, huh?" Bridge says, turning to Xander. "That's cool." He manages to say that in an offhand tone, and keeps a straight face for about... two seconds, before breaking in to a grin.

"It...seemed like it could be, yeah." Xander smiles.

"I was thinking Willow might give me grief over it, " he adds, "but it looks in those handwaved e-mails since last night because zomg enough e-mail already like she's planning on doing pretty much the same thing, so she can't exactly complain that I'm not rushing home."
