Psych 101 & Jung (Thursday, 4/20/2006, 5th & 7th Periods)

"Prom is in two days. Finals are coming up soon. You guys all should have a pretty good idea of what your final projects are. So for the entire afternoon, you can either talk about or work on your projects, or talk about prom. In a psychological context, of course. Doesn't have to be positive either, not if you don't want it to be."

Elizabeth started making a list of ideas about how she and Sam could get Janet down to the dress shop.

Without any detours to the clinic, thank you very much.

"Please tell me you're not actually working on your project, Elizabeth," said Jenny, grinning.

Elizabeth looked up from the list wide eyed. "Uh, no. Not unless I'm going to do my project on prom hostility," she said.

"I see," said Jenny, nodding. "Yours or someone else's?"

"Someone elses," Elizabeth said. "My feelings towards the prom are more apathic in nature."

"Oh, come on, you go, you drink some spiked punch, and you dance around and generally try not to look like an idiot," said Jenny. She paused. "Okay, that? Not so much with the ringing endorsements."

Elizabeth snickered slightly. "I've heard better," she admitted. "Are you going to be one of our esteemed chaperones?"

"I don't think I saw a chaperone sign-up list," said Jenny. "Though maybe I'll show anyway. I never did get to chaperone prom at my last school." She grinned. "On the other hand, is it an experience I really need?"

Elizabeth frowned. "There should have been one put up," she said. She grinned. "Well. I think that's a decision that you need to reach on your own. One one hand, you'll be able to mock most of the attendees for the next year. On the other, you have to be there."

"I might not have seen it," said Jenny. "And who doesn't love a good blackmail opportunity when they see it?"

"I hope it's that. Else that might mean you and Professor Lyman are the only chaperones," Elizabeth said, still frowning. "I don't think I know anyone who doesn't!"

"It'll be fine. See, now? You're trying to guilt me into going." She laughed. "I'm sure there's someone without an opportunistic bone in their body. Maybe?"

"I wouldn't dream of doing something like that," Elizabeth said innocently. She grinned. "I'm not sure. I'm thinking that person would be a very rare person, and possibly not one found in Fandom."

"Not looking like an idiot is a good thing. It would be easier without the dancing though, I think. Wouldn't it?"

"Much easier," agreed Jenny. "Lots of guys, especially, seem to not want to dance."

Stark made a face ~~or half of one~~ at that. "I don't dance either."
