Intro to Fandom; Monday, First Period [10/03].
"So next week," said Summer, skipping right over any sort of introduction or greeting or preamble, because they had a lot to do today!, "is the school trip, which is, let me tell you, a treat and an experience and something I hope all of you are really looking forward to."
It was, in fact, the whole reason that this class was even happening, since both Stark and Summer were pretty sure that just doing a Community Center class wasn't enough to earn you a free ride on the bomb-ass vacation train.
“I don’t travel often,” Stark said. “I go on the trips, sometimes. I’ve liked the two I’ve been on. I hope you’re all planning on going? I’ve never been where we’re going this time.” Because of the lack of travel.
"But since shipping a bunch of kids and their chaperones across the ocean to far, distant lands by more conventional methods of travel would pretty much be a logistical nightmare," Summer continued, "these trips are made possible thanks to a feature of the island that, if you're not already familiar with them, are worth a closer look, and those would be the portals. Now, I'm a little biased, and there is the annoying fact that the portals don't seem to work well for everyone, because some people get stuck here and certain dimensions seem inaccessible, mostly due to plotty reasons, but when they work, they work great, and they're really a nice thing to have."
"They're very useful. And convenient. I haven't had trouble with them," Stark said. Yet? "I've been able to go home when I needed to, and go on the trips, and I came back here again. All with portals. Before that, the first time I was here, there was a wormhole which is not the same thing even if it might be related? I don't know."
"I think they're similar?" Summer offered. "But definitely conceptually different, but that doesn't matter right now. This isn't a class on quantum physics, or whatever, it's a class about getting used to All Things Fandom, and one of those things is definitely portals. We're going to do just a brief overview of Portalocity and You, and then we're going to go ahead and take a few portals, on a nice little jaunt to a few interesting places around the multiverse with the ease and convenience of my very own portal gun."
“You ought to at least know how to book a portal,” Stark said. “I only know of the one portal gun. You might need a portal sometime, or just want a portal, and you should know how to make that happen. You could go to the office if you’re here, and talk to the gnomes, or you can use your phones. There’s an app. You should have the app.”
"The app," stated Summer, "is so much more convenient than dealing with those gnomes, trust me. But we'll go over both, and then off to the portal hopping. So let's begin."

Listen to the Lecture - 10/03.
Unless that question is "HOW?", in which case, the best answer you're going to get is probably a shrug.
Also, the portals from Summer's gun are large, oblong, glowing, and pink. So, you know, make of that what you will.

Portal One: Screaming Sun Planet - Intro to Fandom, 10/03.
The screaming sun is in prime screaming hour, but don't worry, you won't be staying here for long.
Especially once Summer remembers that she booted the Trash King here after he'd sucked everyone in a hole for two weeks, and she was going to hastily usher them all in through the next portal as soon as she spots him charging their way.

Portal Two: Ice Cream and Chocolate Planet - Intro to Fandom, 10/03.
So Summer will make it up to you by taking you to the Ice Cream and Chocolate planet next, which is exactly what it sounds like, a planet made entirely of ice cream and chocolate, where ice cream cones are the trees and there are also chocolate covered pretzels and many other moddable ice cream and chocolate related snacks scattered about to be enjoyed.
Not much is known about this planet, really, except that it is delicious.
Stark may never want to leave.

Portal Three: Blitz and Chitz - Intro to Fandom, 10/03.
Which you're to figure out how to do using the portalocity app this time, unless you don't have a phone, in which case, Summer or Stark will let you borrow theirs, and then Summer will make sure you get a phone, omg.
Re: Portal Three: Blitz and Chitz - Intro to Fandom, 10/03.
And she absolutely had a phone, and would be happy to use it.

He was wincing the whole time at the screaming sun (and a bit confused by the raccoon), full of sugar at the second stop, and playing skee-ball at the last one.
