Creature Languages, 4/13, Period 3

Dream rubbed his eyes as the class filed in. "Today, we will conclude our unit on underseas creatures by watching an animated film, The Small Merperson. I hope you enjoy it."

"You may also wish to start thinking about your final project, which will be to seek out a NPC, handwaved, whatever creature whose language you have learned this semester, interview him or her, and write about the experience. It will be due in three weeks, on May 4."

Pippi watched the film and grunted...

No wonder this girl was discontent with her collection... Only twenty thing-a-ma-bobs?

Please.

Paige watches the film and really enjoys the songs, she also feels sorry for the small merperson, she just wants to be loved damn it! Stupid ugly octopus woman!

Blair is pretty sure that this film is thinly veiled propaganda put out by the Man in order to promote throwing trash into the sea. He doodles the recyling logo compulsively in his notebook during the movie.

Xander is so not paying attention to the movie, despite staring straight at the screen, so it's probably a good thing he's seen it fifty billionty times already.1 His pencil is tapping out something on his desk that's either Morse Code or the universal sign for 'Wow, I'm really, really nervous preoccupied.'

1What? Willow likes it! He can't...sing all the songs. From memory. Or anything.

Walter watches the movie and hopes that the sea witch never turns up as a guest lecturer in any of his classes.

Victor watched the movie with some interest. Granted, he'd seen it about twenty times before, but it was still entertaining. During "Under the Sea," though, he noticed Pippi out of the corner of his eye, and suddenly pictured her as the main character. He raised an eyebrow at the idea, feeling a little uncomfortable at thinking about his friend in a seashell bra.

Victor should probably know better than to give Pippi ideas.

Thankfully, watching the movie kept Molly's mind off of other things.

Stark watched the film and wondered if there were actual merpeople anywhere, or if it was just in the movie. He figured that this being Fandom, if there were merpeople, they'd have shown up here by now.

Zero watched the film intently. This was her first time seeing this movie, and she thought the whole thing rather imperialistic.
