It had taken Anakin a little bit of time to move the two-story tall steamer chest labeled "SITH" from in front of his door this morning, but it had made a satisfying splash when he'd thrown it into the ocean using the Force.

He swept into his class, robe flapping dramatically around his ankles, and turned to face his students. "Welcome to Diplomacy," he said, ignoring bags as they fell to the ground and him and them. "I was going to start with making sure everyone's on the same page regarding definitions but we have a rather more practical exercise to deal with."

He tucked the small, smoking, bag labeled "Mustafar" behind his robe. "Clearly today is full of information that most people are not, in general, comfortable sharing with strangers. So give me your name, your age, and two ways you have made this incredibly awkward day less so in a diplomatic way."

Allie was trying to listen to the lecture. And then the extremely heavy backpack labeled "CASSANDRA" dropped right next to her and she about jumped out of her skin.

Gray had been starting to doze off when the backpack hitting the ground startled him back awake. He mouthed 'Thanks,' at Allie. Sleeping through the first class would have been embarrassing.

Gray was sitting on a steamer trunk labeled 'DADDY ISSUES' and surrounded by rather large suitcases like 'Being Left Out' and 'Missing Everything' and, of course, 'Potentially Damned.' It was fine. This was fine.

...was that tag sticking out at the bottom of the pile the more specific 'Couldn't Kill My Dad'? Maybe!

"I'm Gray, my age is...complicated, but I'm a sophomore?" He hoped that would be good enough. "And I am not going to visit my brother today and end up upsetting him, and, um...I'm not asking anyone else questions, either." Even if he was really curious about that bag that appeared to be smoking.

"Why would visiting your brother upset him?" Anakin asked.

"I'm Allie Pressman, I'm 17, and I'm not making this any less awkward, I don't even know how to do that," she said honestly.

Like how did you cope when you're in class and there's a big ol' duffel bag marked "EXECUTED A GUY" on your first day of a school you didn't know you were attending?

"Generally by not asking a lot of probing questions," Anakin said with a smile.

Ignore what he'd just done with Gray.

"My name is Number Five," he said, powering on through the day like a true Hargreeves.

Did he also make an annoyed face at the 'murderous tendencies' briefcase next to him? Yes. But he really couldn't find fault in it.

"My age is also a complicated situation. And I could have just skipped this ridiculous class all together. Or set the luggage on fire."

"I dumped some into the ocean," Anakin offered. "But first I made sure it wouldn't float back here."

"I...I'm Liberty," said Libby, in a very small voice, definitely not her usual excited self when it came to going to classes, mostly because she was feeling all sorts of uncomfortable about the luggage she couldn't seem to escape, the most persistent of which seemed to be 'Banished' and 'Sinner', 'Brainwashed' and 'Abused' and a particularly cruel seeming 'Daddy's Little Disappointment.' It was almost enough that she thought about skipping class entirely and just hiding in her room and claiming she was sick (she just about nearly was, anyway, it wouldn't have even been a lie!), and, as she realized that that she was practically on the verge of tears, she really wished she had skipped this week.

"And I'm....mostly just trying to ignore them."

Clearly, she wasn't doing a very good job of it.

"Ignoring is my preferred method," Anakin admitted, neatly sidestepping a compact little "Obi-Wan" bag as it hit the ground and spewed sand everywhere.

Anakin made a face.

Gray sidled closer to Libby in case she needed a hug or something.

Vi nudged the duffel with the neon pink handprint and terrible sister on it to one side as she shifted closer to Libby, and attempted a not-so-casual kind of shoulder bump.

"Vi," she said with a shrug. "I don't know, seventeen?" Or near enough by now.

Notice how she didn't answer the question? Unless you thought the bag with hits things so she doesn't have to think was an answer.

Charlie's giant satchel of Aunties was back. No surprise. The jungle print Wild bag, well, that was what it was.

Anyway, back to Professor Handsome's question.

"I'm Charlie Gale. 16, freshman. I threw one of these in the fire, but since it came back, I guess I'm stuck hauling it around. Like the phone the Aunties gave me. Wild now..." She considered, then shrugged. "I'm gonna try and enbrace it."

“I’m Alara Kitan,” Alara said when it was her turn and grimaced when the bags that appeared with ‘’daddy issues’ and ‘family disappointment,’

“I’m 16 and I’m a junior,” she paused, “I’ve been destroying the bags so to not make this awkward, not that it really does any good,” she admitted and another bag with, ‘Xelayan strength’ appeared.

"I am Meeka Joffer and I am 16," Meeka said precisely, sitting on several bags all of them carefully facing away from each other. "I have learned about this...episode...in my intro to Fandom class but I am still very confused. I have mostly been trying to be very careful about not looking too closely at anyone else's...luggage. It seems rude."
