Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day

Despite the fact that this picnic was celebrating the new fall semester, it was still technically summer, and the weather was making that clear. It was sunny, with not a cloud in the sky, and the temperature was seasonably toasty.

With not a minute to spare, the food was ready, the tables and chairs had been spread across the lawn with just the right amount of glitter on them, and everything was ready to welcome a new batch of folks to the island!

"Thanks," Steve said, kissing him quickly. "I know he's keeping something back."

"We'll figure it out, you and me. Unstoppable," he teased gently, trying to improve Steve's mood for the picnic.

Steve smiled. "Thanks. I might have to go back more often."

Since he'd left Tony to his own devices for most of the summer.

"I'll miss you," he said, leaning into Steve's side. "But if your team needs you, they need you."

Steve let out a sound suspiciously close to a whine. "Yes."

"We'll do more date nights," he promised. "As a treat."

"That sounds swell," Steve admitted.

"And I can come visit you more," he suggested.

"They'd love that," Steve said.

Ehhhh. Maybe.

"I'll keep from distracting you too much," Tony promised.

He'd do no such thing.

Steve beamed at him. "I know you will."

For maybe their definition of it.

"We'll make it work." Also gossip about the new teachers and students.

Wait until they saw the girl that looked like the photos Thor'd stuck on the fridge!

"We always do."
