Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day

Despite the fact that this picnic was celebrating the new fall semester, it was still technically summer, and the weather was making that clear. It was sunny, with not a cloud in the sky, and the temperature was seasonably toasty.

With not a minute to spare, the food was ready, the tables and chairs had been spread across the lawn with just the right amount of glitter on them, and everything was ready to welcome a new batch of folks to the island!

TJ looked from the other girl to the list. "Roommate list. Something wrong?"

"Yeah, I'm on it," she said, looking up, and doing a bit of a double take. It was probably rude to comment on how someone was blue but this was also new.

"So you've got a room. Isn't that good?" TJ asked. "Or don't you like your roommate?"

TJ laughed. "'Of course I know her, she's me'." Everyone knew Space Battles, right? "Talia Josephine Wagner, but TJ's good. That'd make you Allie?"

"It would." This was so weird. So, so weird. "I've never roomed with anyone before."

She'd had quite a few people live in her house? But she had her own space.

"Me neither, but I guess it's a school thing." TJ shrugged. "Where are you coming from? New York for me."

"Connecticut," Allie said. "And hopefully I won't be here long."

So enjoy your future single! That Allie really hoped you'd get!

"Didn't plan on it," Allie said. "And it's kind of important that I get home."

"I have to try a portal, which is not currently running there," Allie said. "So I guess I make the most of it until then."

"Well, crap." TJ grimaced in sympathy. "Well, if there's anything I can help with, I guess that's what roomies are for?"

TJ grinned back. "No worries. I haven't had roommates before, but I've shared halls with much younger kids. And much more annoying. I don't think I snore, if I leave too many clothes lying around, just kick me, but I do kind of like loud music. At least I didn't bring my drum kit."
