Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day

Despite the fact that this picnic was celebrating the new fall semester, it was still technically summer, and the weather was making that clear. It was sunny, with not a cloud in the sky, and the temperature was seasonably toasty.

With not a minute to spare, the food was ready, the tables and chairs had been spread across the lawn with just the right amount of glitter on them, and everything was ready to welcome a new batch of folks to the island!

"Still in elementary school," Charlie said lightly since the mun can't do math right now to figure the age difference. "Pests, but adorable pests, you know?"

"That's still pretty young, right?" Libby asked, not really one hundred percent sure what classified as 'elementary,' but...she grinned, fondly. "Adorable pests sounds just about right, that seems pretty accurate for Charity, although, now that I think about it, she's probably still a little young for normal school..."

Wondering if that sounded confusing, she tried to clarify, "We're all homeschooled back...well, home. I'm actually the first one to go to a normal school."

Because, yes, Libby, Fandom High. Totally a normal school.

Libby was delightful.

"Yep, they're young," Charlie said, "And now I know for sure you have younger sisters because anyone who does would have to agree with adorable pests. And this will be the first non-normal school I've been to and I couldn't be happier."

"Hang on a sec." She leaned in and under the pretense of pulling a bit of fuzz from Libby's hair, she sketched a quick charm on her. It meant, well. okay, so basically it boiled down to 'mine'.

Well, Libby couldn't exactly call them all adorable pests. Horrible pest seemed much more accurate for Patience, but as soon as Libby thought that, she felt pretty horrible herself, even if she really couldn't bring herself to take it back entirely.

Thankfully, Charlie reaching over for her hair surprised her enough to pull her out of that line of thinking, startled for a moment until she caught up with what she assumed the other girl was doing. "Oh! Was there something in my hair? It's probably just glitter, that stuff gets everywhere."

And she definitely had a lot of hair for it to get into!
