Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day

Despite the fact that this picnic was celebrating the new fall semester, it was still technically summer, and the weather was making that clear. It was sunny, with not a cloud in the sky, and the temperature was seasonably toasty.

With not a minute to spare, the food was ready, the tables and chairs had been spread across the lawn with just the right amount of glitter on them, and everything was ready to welcome a new batch of folks to the island!

Look, Graham was great, but Gray saw him every day. And yes, he technically could have seen Triumph every day, but he would have had to go down to the stables for that, and that would require effort. Gray wasn't the bearer of Doing Stuff.

"I saved you some grapes, buddy!"

The way Triumph scrambled up from where he was sitting with absolutely no regard for the fact that Graham was leaning against him was a pretty good indication that Triumph was happy to see Gray, too. Sure, Graham was great, but he saw him everyday, too, so seeing Gray was great! Especially when it involved grapes, which he cheerfully thanked Gray for with a series of eager, excited squeaks and grunts as he hobbled over to start seeking out said grapes.

Graham, for his part, honestly didn't mind being nudged around by the sudden upheaval of his Triumph-cushion, and just had to chuckle with appreciation. "I think," he noted to Gray with a smile, "he might be interested."

"Oh, sorry, Graham!" Gray exclaimed. He hadn't meant to get him dislodged from a comfy spot. Gray knew how much that sucked. "Hi to you, too!"

He offered Triumph a grape. "Here you go." So cute.

That grape was gone as fast as could be, with Triumph squeaking happily over it and then immediately searching Gray's hand for more, because there had to be more, right? Who just gave a grape??

And if Triumph was getting grapes, then Graham wouldn't mind being dislodged from a comfy spot a million times over, and watch them both with a pleased, contented smile.

"Good picnic so far, Gray?" he asked.

Of course he had more grapes, what did Triumph take him for, a monster?

"Yeah, it's going pretty good," Gray confirmed. "I met my little sibling--I'm a big brother now! Oh, have you met Ray? He's not my little sibling. He's my brother." Because that was super clear.
