BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday

The plane down from New York hadn't taken long, but after all the time in airports, TJ was ready to be done with it all, and was regretting her refusal to let Dad take her in the jet. But nope, she was doing this on her own, no overprotective parents around.

Somehow, she thought the biggest danger here was going to be glitter. The stuff was everywhere. Most of it was concentrated on a huge banner that read FANDOM HIGH, but it never stayed just where you put it, did it?

She wheeled her suitcase over to one of the seats and perched on the back of the seats, tail out for extra balance, and took out her phone to text back that yes, Dad, yes, Mom, she'd made it just fine. And then maybe to whine to Aunt Kate about how she'd had to do that.

Anakin ~~would be getting a thread tomorrow~~ had gotten a call from Rey and was not in the best mood.

"FANDOM HIGH," he bellowed, cloak swinging around his ankles as he came into building. "Bus leaves in five minutes! I will absolutely leave you behind!"

"I'd ask what died in your shorts if you were wearing any," TJ muttered.

She was, however, getting herself and her luggage over there quickly.

"Heard that," Anakin said. "Will leave you behind."

"I'm coming!" TJ protested. "Jeez, you're grumpier than Uncle Logan."

"I have no idea who that is," Anakin said with a shrug. "Bags go in the back."

"Headmaster at my last school," TJ said. "Leader of the X-Men." She slung her bag into the back. "Also very grumpy." Said with love.

Anakin frowned. "Wolverine?"

Uncle Logan?

"He taught here years ago. Well. A him did."

"That's him," TJ agreed. "A him?"

"The island the school's on is a multiversal nexus," Anakin said. "I've met at least three of that kid," he said, pointing to Harry.

Harry honestly didn't know if he was antagonizing Anakin or not by clarifying this, but he got on the bus with a, "Same Harry as last time."

Anakin sighed heavily. "Well, that's something. Horribly traumatized from the summer away?"

"I wouldn't say horribly..."

He wasn't capslocking!

"On a scale of one to crying in a corner for hours--?"

"I'm not sure how to answer they," he admitted. "But I haven't cried in any corners."

"I'll call it about a 6," Anakin said based on nothing.

"Maybe more like an eight," Harry revised.

Anakin winced sympathetically. "Still have all of your limbs?"

That was a normal question where Anakin came from, Harry.

"Heard and understood, Handsome," Charlie replied. "Climbing on board now."

"Thank you, student who pays attention," Anakin said.

"Charlie," she said with a grin. "I can already tell I'm going to be happy here!"

Cutter dragged all of his luggage over, “Nick Cutter,” he said, adjusting his duffel bag, “I’m one of the new teachers,” he added rather unnecessarily since it was obvious he wasn’t a student.

"Anakin Skywalker," Anakin replied. "I'm the Dean of Students."

Cutter nodded, “I was surprised there was a position available so close to the start of the semester,” he admitted, “it was a very last minute decision to apply,” as in he decided to apply two weeks ago.

"Our first choice got eaten," Anakin said dryly.

It was probably a lie.

Cutter’s lips twitched upwards as he tried to not laugh at that, “sounds like my old job,” he remarked, well technically it was still his current job, everyone just thought he needed a break.
