Your teachers looked especially grave today. Well one of them did. Maybe.

"Today we're talking about the number one danger to bands," Cara read tonelessly off of what certainly wasn't a script. "That kills more of them then sex, drugs, and music. Vibes."

"The vibe check," Jasker said solemnly. "The sort of 'where's your head at' of the music world. Bad vibes can bring everyone down, after all."

He was an expert in dealing with bad vibes. He knew.

He'd been co-teaching with Cara, she hoped he knew what a bad vibe looked like. "There are many causes of bad vibes. Ego, jealousy, bad break ups, many more."

Did Jaskier have to nod so vigorously at the 'bad break ups'? No. But he was gonna do it anyway.

"So! Let's have ourselves a check!" he said brightly. Because this could be fun!

Vi was lurking up the back of class with her hoodie pulled up over her head, not looking at anyone, so the answer was quite possibly her.

It was a little warm for a beanie right now, but Steph had one of her slouchiest ones on today so she could keep it pulled down low over her eyes, and right now she was about to just fully pull it over as much of her entire face as possible.

Guess I'm Lindsey Buckingham now. Just what I always wanted.

The thing about having your hoodie pulled so far forward you could barely see was that no one else could see what you were looking at either. They especially couldn't see the intense longing on your face if such an expression was to appear.

It probably helped, too, that Steph was so determinedly not looking at Vi that the effort was practically visible.

Not that the beanie could obscure her face enough to hide how morose she looked, or the way she was fidgeting with her hands like she didn't know what else to do with them.
