"What can you tell me about this?" Rita asked simply. "I just want to hear what you, as readers of this journalistic work, think."

"We're having a bit of a governmental meltdown," Anakin said, looking at the top of his desk.

"No, I meant...why do you think this is a sarcastic article?" Rita clarified.

Anakin pointed at the last line of the article. "We've had over 200 years of being Americans. I don't think we still need the United States of America to show us how to do it," he read aloud. He raised an eyebrow. "That can't possibly be serious."

"Perhaps the writer is exceptionally dim," Rita proposed.

"Maybe," Anakin said. "But I don't think it's that likely. "I mean, I understand the idea of government collapse, but not like this."

"So do you think it's a real article with a satirical slant, or a completely false article?" Rita asked.

Anakin wrinkled his forehead in thought. "I'd say satirical," he offered finally. "Because there's a point they're trying to make about the general apathy of the population that they chose to address through this sort of article."
