Yoga; Thursday, Third Period [06/02].

The forecast seemed to have called for 'moderate rain' that day, so Rosa considered moving class inside, but honestly? It was just a little water; it (probably) wasn't going to kill anyone. They were definitely still meeting on the beach.

"In yoga," she started, without preamble, to get right to it, "the element of water," see what she was doing here?, "is associated with the second Chakra, housed in the pelvis and hip area, and it's supposed to tap into our emotional bodies, honor our intuition, and follow our passions. Soft but strong movement, with a natural flow into each other. You know. Like water. So that's what we're working on today. We're still going to start with the sun salutation to warm us up, especially since we should all be more familiar with it now, and then we'll go over some poses connected to the water element and finish with a new sequence in line with the element.

"If there aren't any initial questions, then, we'll just get started."

Billy had an admittedly limited range for what he normally included in his yoga routines. So, while he was less than graceful with the newer poses and sequences, it was giving some good things to add. And he was doing his best to figure them out.

These were definitely a bit further from the kata that Lana was used to, and they weren't exactly useful for battle, but she could see their value for keeping limber.

She didn't mind the water, either; at least it wasn't hot.

Duke had maybe fallen asleep once in pigeon pose. He wasn't quite at that level of flexibility again yet -- he'd really let himself go the last several months -- but he still fell into the pose like it was an old friend.

His hips needed this.
